Both plug-ins are meticulously modeled on the hugely successful Fusion analog hardware processor.

Haha, not so long ago i was thinking if i really need 2 kidneys to survive in order to afford an SSL Fusion, now they release it as a plugin format!

goddamn... hope R²T or R²R are up to the task!

I know Acustica's plugin are high end and very well popular, and i respect that, but personally i have never been a fan of them, i do have the free plugins and all, but it always felt sluggish to me, not my cup of tea...

Ceil is a good channel strip, but even Big Ceil has nothing to do with SSL Fusion hardware unit

Celestial (14) - Solid State Logic Fusion. The Mix Processor (intended for tracks and group busses) plugin has a sidechain filter on the dynamics section. The Bus Processor (intended for the mix buss and mastering duties) replaces the dynamics sidechain with a crossover and adds a Dimension control (fixed frequency low shelf filter inside of the mid/side matrix) to replace the pan knob.

They could have easily put all the controls from the hardware unit into one plugin, but I guess two, three, or four plugins [EQ and compressor missing for now?] is more flexible and profitable.

They modeled a fusion, but the sound is neither close to nor similar to the hardware. In fact, the pre impulse response they use is often duplicated by many of their other plug-ins. I think their plug-ins sound good, but I wonder if they really have the technology to mimic hardware.

Indeed friend, if they're gonna import the SSL fusion aroma to the digital world they're gonna try and make as mush money as possible out of it, and at the end of the day they can make something similar to slate's virtual rack where you can load all the plugins into one, because separating the hardware into 3 plugins or more will raise a few eyebrows...

    Anyway only future will tell.

It doesnt matter if it doesnt sound exactly like fusion, 3/4rd of plugins dont sound like hardware.
His point was that i was wrong when its clearly stated on forums and other sites and acknowledged by the developer its based on SSL fusion and then he even goes and disagrees with me when its a fact.

He never said "Celestial" is not Fusion based, he said "Ceil"

"Ceil is a good channel strip, but even Big Ceil has nothing to do with SSL Fusion hardware unit"

Edit: Ah, he said BIG CEIL, ok you´re right, as Celestial is included in Big Ceil.

Celestial is part of a plugin suit called Big CEIL. Celestial is based on SSL Fusion.
