    Hi AudioSex

I'm releasing a single but not sure what genre to label this under. What genre would you say this is?

20 years ago I would find in Triphop, Leftfield, Rnb, electronic. I like it

    Thank you!

Ok, so even for you, it's a mixture? I like all the ones you named though lol

Hmm... 20 years ago? interesting because the producer of the song is named Time Travelling Toaster. ha

I've updated the mix. The bass was distorting at some headphones.

Sounds like trap for me, but its missing the 808 and kicks.
Its def not triphop - this was way more glitchy imo.

Like it. the chords make the whole track.

I love this and would love to hear more like it.
Your vocals are more future soul and the beat is more electronica.

Reminds me of Ego Ella May

Which has RnB / Future Soul / Electronica vibes

    Greetings all!

Wow, Donut hit the genres quite proper. I hear the low end in the mix lots better.

This song needs a music video.

Reminded me of that New York Rapper who was a flash in the pan about 20 years ago. She made great records and had a great first album but she couldn't stop annoying people to save her own life. Bit of a tragedy really, because her first record/video was a complete banger that broke the internet when she released it.

Azalia Banks. That's what she was called. It's really in the phrasing and the timbre of her voice rather than in the genre, but I swear she had similar sounding stuff on that first album.

And the record that broke the internet?

Damn. That's pretty spot on as well. I think that this song paired with a nice quirky video kinda like Banks's would generate some buzz across.

Hopefully Kadïï can get a excellent shoot for this. Something proper.

The glitchy vocals are evocative of what Andreya Trianna, also on Tru Thoughts,Ninja Tune, does live onstage.
And obviously Simon Green has helped shape what other artists the label will want to work with.
Had to edit that; she worked with Simon on Black Sands, also a Ninja Tune release, but he started at Tru Thoughts.

Yet the drum stuff sounds like trap, but verby.
So maybe a new Trip Trap genre? haha
    Or Deep Trap?
I like that there is no correction on the sung vocals, but I would still do just a tiny bit. But do it very transparently, still.
Yet it is so refreshing to have some natural human tuning in my ears again!

    Greetings!

This is a great take! Thanks.

This song appears to be not one for Submit Hub I'm thinking. I don't think they'd know what to do with this.

i would say its a mix of futurbeats and future-garage
but nowadays both styles tend to be a bit more sparse and more dark
also be right at home in a modern broken beat / hiphop set

but also on (rec)labels like cascade rec. this would fit right in
thats why i would suggest not to seek those (name) labels
    just tag it interestingly

Ninja Tune = Great label n music, I'm thinking there should be a genre called "Ninja Tune" as it seems to fit the outside-of-the-box tunes.

I time travel and I'm incorporeal... However, she asked what genre it was. But, strength in numbers, no? Or what?

Probably the intention here is to get some compliments. So well, nice track. The genre is semi-liquid-trap-ish

Thank you so much for the feedback! The chords came from Time Travelling toaster, super dope producer.
OMG I literally knew who you were talking about as soon as you started describing her. Yess I actually love that song! I hope not to become infamous tho lol. Thank you for the feedback too, very much appreciated.
Thank you so much for your feedback and input! Ive been hearing alot about Ninja Tune and Flying Lotus so I might go down the route in finding their fans since my music isn't really a specific genre. Also thank you for the vocal feedback! I will probably do one more mix and update. Peaceeee
Thank you so much for your response! Its been a little confusing trying to pitch music since alot of people expect specific sounds for different genres. I will check out cascade and similar labels! Thank you.
YESSSSS you're not the first to tell me this so im definitely going to delve deeper. Thank you so much for listening!
