Love that ending! Id be tempted to give it more though. Subtle cello and some low brass. Subtlety is key here.

Its not something Id listen to usually but I do like this.

What a beautiful track start to finish...it sounds so raw and I love it. The lyrics are so simple yet feel so from the heart. No for some mixing tips. Low cut the lead vocal, there's a boomy frequency at around 100-120Hz, cut it a few db with a Q of about 3-4. Also, the guitar needs to be low cut and could use some compression to control its level just a bit, try an attack time of about 6-10 a release of of about 20, a ratio of 3-4 and pull the threshold until those peaks come under control, 3-4 dbs at the most of gain reduction should get you there. Also, I would make a duplicate the guitar track and put a haas effect on there while keeping the guitar you have now mono, this will give you a more intimate and interesting guitar since it is such an important element in the track. Cut the pads that come in at 2:00 at around 1000-1500Hz, 1-2dB at a Q of 1-2 should do it because it's masking the vocals just a bit and doing a cut there with an eq will clear things up.

    Hope this helps. Wonderful song

Wow Fuad! thank you very much for the great and precise suggestion! I will take a look at this with great seriousness. I always high pass and low pass my track. so as I did with the vocal and guitar but I might go further a bit.. I also but a nice fairchild comp on the acoustic guitar. I might as well compress it a bit more.but really want to keep all this very natural and not too modern..

What do you mean by Hass effect.looks interesting.. I give it a bit of width with a nice stereo room reverb and I used a Dark plate reverb hard panner to the right. when I want to stereoize something I use the new SoundToys MicroShift. so nice and guitars and vocals

thanks again for your time. really appreciate it and glad you like the song :)

Hey Patrick, sorry it took me so long to reply. Basically the haas effect is when you put a stereo delay on a track, then delay either the right side or the left side of the delay by 0-30ms. This gives a really wide stereo effect and makes the interment sound as if it's at the edge of each side of the speakers. I'm not sure if micro shift does the same thing but my guess is that it does from the its name. As for the low cutting, it doesn't necessarily have to be a low cut per say, what I suggested was a cutting of the 100-120Hz region by a few dB's just to reduce some of the boominess in that region.
