    Hi,
I see so many different custom versions of Win 10 on TeamOS, I've no idea what to choose...any recommendations (for audio of course)?
I'm reinstalling Windows and coming from an LTSC version, I'd like to try something else as I feel it may have been source of some problems for me.
I'm leaning towards one of the Lite versions as the remove things like Xbox, Cortana, Windows Defender, etc...which I've no use for but I now this stripped down versions can also be a source of problems too so...what's your inclination? A custom version (if so, which?) or just a clean ISO from Microsoft?
    Thanks!

Last Windows 10 LTSC Lite, but from {Gen2} or Ghostspectre if you want a really nice "lite" version.

Windows 10 Pro Lite by any of these [and TeamOS] is not a bad choice, though, but you do get a bit more bloat and instabilities. LTSC versions are there for a reason. Kinda like Linux Debian stable, and Linux Debian testing versions, if you know what I mean.

    Cheers!

In my humble opinion, you have more control and gain knowledge over components who bloat Windows if you "strip" or "minimize" the ISO's yourself. Using either "MSMG Toolkit" (From My Digital Life forums) or "NTLite" if you prefer a graphical / GUI approach.

I would always prefer a clean install and remove certain things if they actually annoy me. Those custom installs are like the total opposite of a long term support. Ain't got no time for tinkering, my pc should work without problems (for years).

They list so much stuff they changed, but the most imporant part is a meaningless entry "Tweaks have been applied for better performance". No details what they actually did? I downloaded those kind of images back when XP was out. Felt like a 1337 hax0r with a custom XP. Blindly trusted that it was "better".

Edit: General Windows tweaks or audio optimization - understand what you are doing and don't just follow a guide, because it says so.

    Fair points
I'm thinking that filling full of Audioz somewhat undoes some quality benefits.
But yes, better to clean an install oneself
In my case, my attempts to remove bloat may do a much worse job of it than folks like ghost spectre

This. I tried it a few times by myself with mixed success. If you are not into this then it takes too much effort to do it right. Tried to do an audio related built a few times. Always got some errors at one point (sooner or later) when I was installing some certain plugin or program. Could not figure out to 100% what to remove or to keep so that everything works fine in the end. Sure, I could spend days to figure it out with built => test => built => test... and so on but I got no time for this :)

Just use a prebuilt light version as a base and remove some things from there, if there is still something inside you dont like. But don't use one of those Ultra light/small versions. They stripped them down so much, you will run into problems for sure.

I'm in that teamos forum and is a great site, but a lot of people makes custom Windows versions there. I wouldn't know which version to use and especially to trust.
I would go with this. Really neat and barely takes away needed features.
Don't install the Superlite version though, this one can miss some things or have undesired tweaks like others have commented.

I'm leaning towards the GhostSpectre W10 mod, there's an LTSC version of it?

How do y'all feel about the W11? I saw that Ghostspectre put out a version of W11. Is it worth the upgrade quite yet? Is it easy to upgrade if I decide to do it down the line?

What version should I use then? The other version provided in the Boot installer right?

    Thanks y'all =)

Use the Compact version. It's the intermediate.

I think you can't upgrade them, just fresh installs.

You can also use this "distro" of Win10 called Revision OS (did test it and it in fact runs a little bit better than stock Windows and it removes the useless things you might not use):

I don't know about windows 11, but "Windows 10" Ghostspectre's versions can be updated.

can i please ask a stoopid question? if you download one of these "alternative" versions of windows 10, do you still need to purchase a windows 10 license? asking for a friend.

I have ltsc 2019 stock with classic start menu and am more than happy.
ct is a german computer magazine with a high reputation and they did in deep performance tests with tweaked
    and untweaked windowses and:
There is no difference. It is not even measurable.
If cortana annoys you (like me) get rid of her and kick out whatever bothers your aesthatics, but you won't have another nebula instance because of that. The real problem are the lenovos/dells/hps on this planet.
they add terrible bloatware and malware scanners that really fuck up your system beyond usability.
But a freshly installed stock windows is quite nice, espeacially the ltscs.
