MuLab. Not that I'm using it but I'd definitely call it visually pleasing.

    Bitwig - S1 - Live - Nuendo/Cubase and . . . Waveform have really nice looking GUI.
Waveform seem made of Lego bricks, at first. But it's somewhat "washed colors" theme is easy on the eyes when you use for many hours.
I like it, but the menus are just aaarrghhhhh pwah. (a nightmare)

Reaper is minimalistic, (empty ?) . . . at first glance only.
    Zynewave Podium is classy
Usine Hollyhock is an absolute Alien (I like it but the workflow is . . . alien)
The absolute worst for me is MuLabs's Mu Tools and Mixcraft (oups, sorry @fiction)
Acid is like (I don't know, little flowers on tracks . . . really ?)

many dis Reaper but it's way better than Ableton. Live seems like it's for kids. I used it from 2011 to 2021. RIP. now Reaper, but I did choose a gui similar to Ableton and it looks great.

The reason mixer is the best in my opinion

I’ve never actually mixed a session in it though, but I’m tempted to import some stems from a studio one session and try, see how it handles a full mix.

+1, however there are plenty of good old-school trackers that do the trick likewise. Buzz, SunVox, etc. can be really clean and transparent once you grok the basics.

    Also,
    FastTracker 2 clone exists.

Same as Logic for many years now.
I have many different coloured templates for Logic, yet all nice and dark like yours.

    REAPER having ton of themes.
I like Ableton Live (I'm using Lite at the moment), Studio One 5 like nice too.

You do you (you peasant). But IT/Scream compatibles exist.

For people wanting to get into tracking I'd recommend OpenMPT so you don't have to give up your VSTs and you can load your own modules in various formats (the aforementioned Impulse and Scream mentioned). Oh and it's very clean visually as well.

Form follows function. If it does what it's supposed to do in an elegant and intuitive fashion, that's good enough for me.
