So I guess that means Windows users are basically social Outcasts, :bleh:
poor Tortured ppl with no soul, and no other object than to bash Mac users.. lol

    Nah I don't think it's the case,
and I don't think ppl is really Bashing Mac users, not frequently, and not seriously at least..

There may be a certain mockery ocassionally,
and I guess it may disgust to be shown/told how much of a mistake one has committed.

But this arises from the Reality of things,
of how Apple does business VS the rest, which follow a more standardized/open route..

Otoh, just as a counter argument..
Perhaps some ppl had it always too easy and served on a silver plate,
and that's usually the kind of ppl who don't like to bother with things,
and are alright paying double or triple the amount to have things made for them..

Like, oh my bike tire is punctured, shall I spend 10€ and fix it myself?
Or shall I bring it to he bike shop, wait 3 days and pay 30-60€?

I gotta buy a new kick-ass computer, do I spend 1000€ on parts and do it myself?
Or shall I pay 2.5K and have a computer just as good, if not worse?

    Yeah yeah, the Mac ecosystem,
everything is tailor-made and it's Solid for the most part.. that's Great.

But things/parts one buys have 2 years warranty usually, so you're equally covered.
Or you always have the freedom to change the defective part for a new/better one..

Mac systems are Closed, so that means you can be fuskered more easily..
like, this component of your iMac failed, now you gotta buy a new Board directly from them,
and must be exactly that one, nothing else will work, there's no possible standard replacement..
So in the end repairing that little part costs you almost half of what a self-made PC costs..

And this goes to ridiculous extents like, the button of your iPad has a cryptologic signature,
you cannot replace the button or it will lock your device, similar bs for the screen etc..

Or certain chips inside any given apparatus may be signed/protected, so you cannot possibly repair it,
there's even an entire business of Repair shops who only deal with Apple products, true experts of electronic engineering,
because they know how f'ed up the apple system/conditions are, and how left behind users can be sometimes..

Then there's the programmed Obsolescence topic, iPhones working slower for no reason,
impossible to replace batteries, bendgate, no headphone jack.. no charger!

And then there's also the topic of Apple changing the whole CPU architecture from time to time,
and there's no compatibility, so your software needs to be updated/made for that architecture,
and this bugs not only users, but also actual Devs (which are the basis) and then Crackers..

All in all, I'm actually surprised that so much ppl keep eating Apple's bs,
and that they can keep the interest not only of the user base, but the Industry itself..

I'm not an Apple expert, so my descrptions could be more precise,
but you know what I mean..

But the thing is, saying stuff like this is not bashing Mac users,
but talking about how things are in reality.

This could bug some, while others won't care.

But it could also happen in reverse,
W10 for instance had a Lot of Critical fuck-ups in its life cycle, and some of them so Big it's actually laughable..

So it's allright to come and say it..

For instance Linux users could come and pee on all of it,
if they weren't so busy trying to Compile and figure out how in the hell to install this/that driver/program.. lol

Or what kind of Win/Mac Wrapper to use, because regular VST plugs are not made for/don't work on Linux.
    etc..

But yeah it's all in good spirits,
and we can all learn from realizing/knowing this things.

Of course, everyone has the right to choose the OS that suits them best. However, before deciding which OS it will eventually be, one should think about how important the supply of cracked software is to him.
If one decides for MacOS or even Linux, there is only little or very little.
Who nevertheless decides for it, should at least not always lament about it. The Linux users don't do that either, although they would have most reason to do so.
What is annoying about - some - Apple users is this sense of entitlement. One has chosen one way, but still wants to enjoy all the advantages of the other.
Nobody hates Apple users because of that ...
I've been an Apple user (Mac, iPhone, iPad...) for years but decided it to be a too closed system for me at the end. I may change my mind again and choose Linux in the future, but no one will ever hear me lamenting about too less cracks for Linux then.
No. Cracked software hasn't anything to do with a bill of rights, sorry.

Apple bad, PC good...or was that PC bad, Apple Good? I guess I'll have to ask Napoleon, things change so quickly and have a tendency to Snowball out of control.

Power supply corrupts, absolute power supply corrupts absolutely.

    Love,

The way to deal with legit threads that goes off topic is not to close it. For that the topic should be part of the problem. IMHO.

All computers are eating ass because of BSOD. But we know one thing, Apple is the Avid of the biz.

It's not that Apple is bad it's that their business model thinks they are exclusive or there are no alternatives so they charge you like there's not. I'm not foreign to what Apple does, I used to be a customer too.

Thanks to the low wages in Vietnam ...! Apple will soon move iPad and MacBook production to Vietnam.

(Not to be taken personally - but had to be said ..)

Again brilliantly analyzed. Thanks for that !

However, people in the poorer regions of this globe (also called the forgotten) are not wondering if they have $ 10 what to buy, but they have to buy something to eat and raise their rent and sometimes pay school fees.
They don't ask Mac or PC or Linux either, they take what they can get. One should rather ask how one can make these products more durable. And how you can repair it yourself. Keyword Cradle to Cradle.

Why is Bill Gates having the richest man on earth? Yes, he worked a lot ... Laughter breaks out ... and the Amazon boss Jeff B., oh yes what a man, how did he manage it. Man wake up - it's all a big scam ...!

This, this, a thousand times this!

I was a Mac user for years and years and years. How I used to sneer at those puny pathetic WIndows users with their shitty inferior operating systems and their continual BSOD's. The Apple Tax didn't bother me -- I was happy to pay it. It was proof that I was getting a superior computer -- nobody would spend that money otherwise.

And every time I see a copy of Logic Pro, I get a real yearning, tempting me back to the dark side.

But I'm never going back there. Why? Because I prefer the access to mountains and mountains of warez I get on Windows.

You believe people who run Macs should also have access to such mountains of good stuff? Here's a tip for you: learn to code. If you had any ability for self reflection at all, you'd recognize that by publicly whining about how pirate groups aren't servicing your overly entitled desire for free stuff, you're embarrassing yourself.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I went back to PC after being a Mac user for 10+ years. For me, it was all about the little stuff that Mac OS did that made it such a joy to use, things that made it *feel* much better than being on a PC. But Windows 10 has genuinely "borrowed" loads of little workflow things. And Windows 11 looks even more like Mac so, aside from the odd thing here and there, I don't miss it and can't imagine ever going back.

Can we get back on topic again!!!

The topic is to discuss R2R 10k+ releases. So lets get back to that.

And not the never ending boring Mac vs PC, which always ends in the same.

I'm actually surprised that we haven't seen any Plugin Alliance stuff yet, I guess it falls in the realm of the uncrackable with pro tools, but that aside, we have seen some cool stuff.....

Just a quick question though, when is Audioz releasing their first plugin?

So what should the first official Plug be: an M/S Compressor/Fattener, or a Syn(ful)th?
