I must say, the first two new additions have been standard in other daws for time. And hardly an exciting feature.
Plugin nap sounds cool; I guess for cpu.
    And Apple Silicon, well. Expected.
It's a good stable daw though, I like it.
Having always been a Logic user that's saying something.

    edit:
    OMG. Just saw this.
    From last month.
Raving about MIDI automation on delay.
As we have been doing for the last 20 years...in any daw.
Why is Joe of Presonus 'begging friend', talking about the most basic thing ever?.
    I really don't understand...

Chord display is a bit useful.
Not very impressed, it's not a major update

It wasn't supposed to be a major update. I just checked their update history and they never released .4 versions. I suppose they needed to release M1 support earlier than next year and decided to just throw a few additional things in this unexpected update to make the rest of users a little bit happier.
Everyone is waiting for version 5.5, this is where we will have a bunch of major additions.

Anyway, the update hasn't been released yet and we have to wait till tonight to see the entire changlog.

Yeah, Joe is a weird guy. The funny thing is that PreSonus themselves were always silent about a huge number of small features they have that could be actually used for those videos. Sometimes they even forget to put them in release notes lol

    What’s wrong with win 10?

I ask that genuinely, I’m not that computer savvy, not when it comes to very technical aspects

I’ve been using 10 and never had a single issue with it, yet I see many people not wanting to use it and often wondered why.

No, Sphere users get those "insides" a few days earlier than the rest of users.
But when it's released, it's released for everyone.

Windows 10 is completely OK, there are people who use Macs and a Windows user does not understand the Mac user, vice versa the same thing, there are also people who neither use Mac nor Windows and swear by Linux, there is diversity in life. Some like to eat cherry jam, others swear by strawberry jam, some eat no jam at all and buy honey. Diversity instead of simplicity = human life

That feature has been in Studio One since forever. Joe makes basic tutorials for beginners, everyone has to start somewhere.

If you want more advanced tutorials then watch Gregor, he has a number of excellent intermediate to advanced guides.

Major feature updates are usually reserved for x. updates or x.5 as @Karate Grownup correctly pointed out.

Honestly, I shouldn't be bad mouthing Joe, but it seems like he either is a half-knowledge guy or just the videos are made for true Noobs. On the other hand, Gregor's videos are enjoyable. I don't like Joe's videos at all.
