Nice work people. Give me more this thread is falling behind the favorite television theme music thread, I thought the movie thread would beat it.

 

It depends on the age. When I was 12 there were only LP's = long-playing records 33 and singles 45 and tape cassettes. There weren't any computers back then - smartphones weren't invented either. Then is retro old man ...!

Maybe someone here knows.... Once saw a movie on VHS made around late 90's, early 00's probably that was titled something like Northwest by South, or East by North or something to that effect.... I recall title was of contrarian directions. Remember loving the soundtrack which I'm thinking was kinda more experimental-ish. Once tried searching for every conceivable title permutation but only found similar titles like Hitchcock's film or some tv series, but not the film I was trying to find.

Was driven crazy once trying to find a song I heard on an indie radio station before the days of broadband (again, late 90's, early 00's).Years later tried asking around on some music forums. All I could describe it as synth based with vocals that had words that sounded vowel-like. Some years after that, I wound up hearing it on some music streaming station I've been listening to, lol.
Turned out to be "Ask The Mountain" by Vangelis. Kind of song you can put on infinite loop
