    Ha!
    What a total knob!
For some reason he's still got XLD in the dock even though it never works properly and he hasn't used it in years and he uses iZotope RX, as shown, to convert .flac to .wav.
    Idiot!
    Oh, wait, etc....

I can't do the 5 million shortcuts so i try to keep it pretty simple and organized.

I had actually been using the name for a while before I found about they had appropriated it for the TV show. But I just got it from a Star Wars random name generator

Why do you have so many standalone shortcuts, are you not working in the DAW?

Sometimes apps automatically add destop shortcuts to standalone software, sometimes the user just didn't pay attention as they quickly hit "next" in their installer then probably installed a 32 bit, 64 bit vst, a vst3 and probably shit even an aax without knowing it cause they didn't slow down so they missed the standalone feature box which was probably auto-ticked like the rest of the entries.

But if it's not that then standalone apps are usually pretty lightweight so they launch faster than your DAW, even Reaper. They are convenient for jams and practicing if all you want to do is run your guitar into an amp sim or launch a synth to get some rehearsals done in-between studio time. You also don't need to do anything like open a daw, set stuff up or even load sessions that have the plugins set up.

I don't use them much except an odd amp sim sometimes but rarely. I like to do the former and practice inside the daw into a full mix. But the odd time I do just openly jam with nothing backing me.

    Ah I understand !
Unnecessary links: The right mouse button is responsible for this, delete.
Yes I understand what you mean.

To see my audio software, yo'll have to open 'Audio' folder link.

walnut butcher block. sanded it down and saturated it with danish oil. finished it off with a few coats of spray varnish that i mixed up. lots of hand sanding and elbow grease, and a long night of buffing and polishing at the end. will serve as the desktop for a new work desk i'm in the middle of building :bleh:

desktop.png Nothing too special really, though it's easy to see what my interests and favorite synths are based on the shortcuts. There's actually waaay more stuff on my PC, but it's hidden away in the start menu or in my files (there's about 2,000 items in my downloads folder and it continues to increase all the time!)
