Thank you for this assessment! Why all the hype here?
Oh yes, there was something like "Human greed ... and stupidity are unlimited" or something like that.

Possibly - "katze-01 - 05" is not a whole offer, but categories (or something like conditionally
    - arrays in programming)
katze-01 - Avenger, UVI, Nexus (as in the image the hard drive is - that is - heavy in weight)
katze-02 - Pro Tools, Cubase, Reason (the picture shows money and "SAVINGS" - that is, without spending a lot of money.)
katze-03 - Sonnox, McDSP, Soundtoys and ect ("black friday" - maybe just figuratively for all plugins - which are so often sold at discounts, including in itself - BF)
katze-04 - UAD SHARC emulator (picture - "SHARE")
    katze-05 - UAD Plugins (Buy 1 - Get 1 free)
But, most likely, this is sheer nonsense, so[IMG]

let's imagone r2r unclock UAD. I'm pretty sure, 80% will not buy UAD hardware to use it. or will buy some PCI shit, which can handle 1 API Channel Strip.

value of UAD plugins, is too low.
Any way, the best analog emulation exist only in Acoustica Audio. But, who need this days 1:1 hardware emulation ? almost for no body, except home entusiast who doesn't work in music industry

It's same with Nexus 3 - everyone want it, after release - nobody use it.
same happened with UAD. People just want to know its available, but will continue making work with Waves.

So, based on pictures in r2r archive, my prediction - EWSL, Best Service engine, and others libraries

I have the 1073 on UAD, which comes in at 67% of a Sharc core. With 2 cores (Apollo Twin) I can load 2 instances and that's all. So each instance needs more Sharc power, ie its not sharing resources after the first load.

Oto Biscuit Effect uses 42% of a Sharc. With the one that was released at New Year I put 10 instances on 8 tracks (80 instances loaded). It uses 30% of my Ryzen 3700 in Ableton. I'm assuming there's some shared resources on the Ryzen and this figure might be tainted.

I don't know exactly what that means, but using UAD Sharcs I believe that the maximum is 4 units with 8 cores on each, which is 32 Sharcs. So you can't load any more than 32 instances of Oto Biscuit into your UAD setup (4x Octos), compared to 80 at 30% of the Ryzen CPU.

Ryzen CPU can keep going until it falls apart.

So can they be emulated on a modern PC? Doesn't seem impossible. Its not likely to be as simple as 250 can load on the Ryzen compared to 32 on the UAD, so therefore a Ryzen is 8 times more powerful than 32 Sharcs, but it does hint that the Sharcs could run a tonne of the most powerful UAD plugins, and probably endless amounts of the ones that use 2% of a Sharc

Don't think too much. 1+1 means that when you buy a hard drive, the plug-in is free

Don't show your inferiority complex for what you don't have. uad is the industry standard along with waves, and uad is a favorite of many professionals. nexus is also a great rompler synth that has produced many hits in the electronic and hiphop industries.

I was so happy when i finnaly sold my satellite octo.
    this is ridiculous.
Industry standart for what ? Recording? no. for Recording industry uses PT HDX. Maybe for Mixing? again no.
Maybe for YouTube mixing-bloggers - maybe.

Btw in industry nobody cares what u using, custumers care one thing: Fast and good completed work.

Yep, the same brand of processors at least. Same as Line 6 used in the POD Pro as well (but much older ofc) and have been used in tons of different gear through the years. The software is probably very different though!

I don't know if you can buy them one-by-one privately anywhere, but you can order them from their website at https://www.analog.com/en/products/...l-processors/sharc-audio-processors-socs.html if you buy them as a company.

So you're in agreement that R2R are not releasing stuff anymore.

You have confirmed that RET is now releasing in place of R2R.

RET could be R2R but they do always say thanks to R2R in their posts, so that would suggest they are affiliated but are not R2R.

As I have said, R2R as an entity are gone, I'm glad you have finally agreed on that point.

That's ok, I'll enjoy the inevitable humble pie when it comes... I hope it's apple, that's my favourite!
