Illustrator is for .svg/vector.
Member asked if there was any advantage to putting it together in Illustrator. No, there isn't.

I don't have a lot of knowledge, but for that matter in my case would be photoshop the easiest tool to make and crop images for Kontakt.ninct library wallpapers.

This is from our friend @bobdule and all credits goes to him.
You have the correct dimensions in that png file, and split by the margins in two formats, one is small and one is BIG (when you resize Kontakt GUI). I hope that helps.

 

the exact size used by native instruments is:

597x98
open any nicnt NI product with total commander to get the usefull size. resources/.LibBrowser.png

 

Thanks for all of the tips and info everyone.

So following all of your suggestions here I have created a couple for my own use and on my Studio PC and on my laptop
they all load perfectly in Kontakt 5 and 6 but I am unsure if screen / monitor size makes any difference.
There seems to be a lot of space to the right hand size that Kontakt does not display so I have left that blank.

I have also had a quick go at making one for a Library that a search of this forum did not bring any hits on to show what I mean
and I attach it here.

If someone would kindly have a look at it I would be very grateful.

The handwritten text is an image take from the Librarys resourses folder and looks like that on the GUI.

I am trying to seperate the letters to make it more readable but it's not looking any better.
I may have to use artistic licence and use a different font.

I agree, that thread is so messed up its unusable.
For example, I searched the whole thread for F9, F9 Origins and F9 electric with zero hits.

 

Same here. And really it should be findable as F9 Audio, but none of them have been written out properly!

I definitely know my way around Photoshop quite well, but fought for a while to figure out the proper dimensions for a Kontakt wallpaper. LOL Thanks, Belalugosi (and to others who had answers on the dimensions.. although it seems like 516x98 is the best choice)

Well as I said before, a big thanks everyone, especially Olymoon and Smoove Grooves, for
being so helpful which I really appreciate.

I think before I post any wallpapers I need to hone my Photoshop skills a heck of a lot more
