Huh? I listen to stuff like that on a regular basis, helps me calm down.

 

The longest bit of music I've got on physical media (DVD) is Robert Rich's "Somnium". Sure, I'm not Zen enough to listen through it all the way with rapt attention, but I've made through it several times. Also easy to take breaks because not gonna miss much.

I'm not sure if it's amusing, but the fact about this piece of "music" that "I composed" is that it is Tangerine Dreams "Phaedra" time stretched to 60 minutes, played backwards and tuned an octave lower.

Yeah, it's Brian Eno's "An Ending (Ascent)" stretched to 50-odd minutes. Because: you can't improve on perfection, but I just wanted more of it.

And Steve Reich took some dude rambling and ran it through the antiquity equivalent of a delay plugin with modulation.

I also like to watch movies at super low or super high speeds. It's a sensory experience like no other.

it is also easily possible to fuck up short pieces by repetition, randomness, wrong instrument playing, lame texts, too much autotune, no taste, bad mastering, lack of compositional ideas, wrong label, you name it.
