I can't find anything on this company, but on the sister site I found their stuff is sample based... but the thing is the latency is 1/10th of acustica same with cpu load, you can literally put their stuff across all your tracks my favourite is the pultec filter.
What happened to this company, it seems like they were doing this sampling thing way better than acustica could ever dream

I wonder if It was acustica testing the waters, seeing how much money they can grab. They came out around the same time as acustica 2005 then slowy faded away

    the manual goes:
    Warmest regards,
    Damon & Salvator
    Co-Founders
    TriTone Digital

put Damon & Salvator ing google and you get: Damon Salvatore is a fictional character. hmm

    we also have

    versus

    Nebula-2.jpg

    suspect?

Interesting. The demo sounds great. Might have to try them out! A shame that their plug-ins are x86 only :/

I tested the plugins about 10 years ago. I guess Acustica created IRs from the curves of the plugin.

Tried installing the plug-ins, but it seems like Reaper can't scan them, unfortunately.

It would be interesting to see/hear a comparison between some of their stuff and similar Nebula or Aqua libraries, if someone manages to get them to run!

The first Colortone vst's (win/mac) were made with Pluggo. The second version was Native VST/AU/RTAS but sadly only for Mac.
That's perhaps the only plug-in I feel sorry about that's not developed any more. Still got a bunch of hardware ir's from their user forum. It would be interesting to learn whether something like Audiothing Fog Convolver will do the same thing?

Tritone were Salvator Vouakouanitou of Trinity Studios LTD, France (the Tri in TriTone) and Damon Whittemore https://www.discogs.com/artist/1223325 of ValveTone Mastering, USA (the Tone in TriTone) began collaborating on the development of cutting-edge plugins in 2003.

haha, i can assure you that they exist.

and i can also confirm that these plug-ins mostly do convolution integration. it is literally "3 lines of code" (what he back in the days once was called "years of experience as professional engineer..." bla bla.)

Regular convolution DON'T capture non linearities.
They don't create harmonics, compress or anything like that

Tritone, Acustica, Kemper, Mooer, Slate ... use their own recipe to capture those non linearities

Take a clean guitar, put ANY IR in the whole world and try to get saturation, compression or anything like that

of course not. i am just saying how their code mostly looks. the old pluggos are on a beginner level, thrown together of helpfiles, tutorial files and third party work but advertised as if it would be rocket technology. welcome to capitalism? :)

    p.s.
if i clean the original colortone plug-in from the 3500% leftovers and nonfunctional trial code and disconnect the vst parameters, this is the core DSP which is left over in the end.

two times convolution, serial, one for left and one for right.

the second multiplication at the end is for the envelope, i disconnected a line~ object here - and an average~ object which was used for the analysis - which for some weird reason are connected at scheduler rate instead of signal.

others are working with parallel setups because of the dynamics you mention. distribution will then be based on input power in a similar fashion like you would do it in any ambisonics panner or FIR based morphing filter. the integration itself is always the same.

i find it totally amazing that some people have studied 8 years for that.
