i don't know what is causing this, if anyone has found a workaround for this, please share. it's too annoying to wait for 30 seconds for every instance opened.

 

What is your operating system, Windows (7, 8, 10) or Mac OS ?
- What's your audio interface ?
- Does your plugins and DAW are up to date ?
- Have you a SSD ?
- How much RAM ?

3. i'm using Ableton Live 10 Suite 10.1.3, and i've had no issues with it, or with any other plugins until now. using Analog Lab V 5.3.0, the latest release on sister site. the freezing occurs on standalone, VST2, and VST3. i had installed Live 11 Suite 11.0.5 NoGrp release but i can't find the R2R keygen for it cause it was taken down on sister site. waiting for the request post to get approved by the admins.

also i right now noticed that after the freezing, a "Demo Playlist" gets added to the playlist section. i suspect that is causing this issue but i can't find a way to disable that feature or delete the playlist.

 

this could not be it, but I believe it is caused by the 25k presets that comes with Analog Labs (ie. VR release that comes with lots of 3rd banks, the legit version got around 16k), it is fairly acceptable if it needs 30 seconds freeze to start the engine to scan through all the presets and establish the preset database because Analog Labs also shows all the presets from other Arturia synths. Say you create 10 new presets in the Mini V or something, Analog Labs will add it to its preset lists as well for your joy of picking it through its massive librarian without firing up Mini V. Since Arturia synths share 1 .db (database) file, it would take some time to rewrite the file I guess but depends on your system, mine, with almost 40k presets only needs 10 seconds or so.

the workaround, I think delete half of the presets library, logically it will cut down the load to half, maybe, or upgrade your PC.

- the Microsoft C ++ runtime redist updated to v14.29.30040, 'koz the previous version 14.29.30037 turned out buggy

I recommend uninstalling this and if there were still problems I would go back to Arturia Analog Lab V v5.2.0 CE-V.R.
Maybe the bugs will be fixed in one of the upcoming versions of Analog Lab.

Otherwise I agree with "@Stevie Dude" - too big - too extensive - it's better to load individual Arturia plugins and forget about Analog Lab!

Uninstall
To completely uninstall an Arturia plugin from a Windows computer, please go to the following folder:
- C:\ProgramData\Arturia
And delete the product folder you would like to uninstall.

- Then go to this folder:
- 64-bits: C:\Program Files\Arturia\<concerned product>
- 32-bits: C:\Program Files (x86)\Arturia\<concerned product>
And simply click on the concerned product uninstaller

 

i have the same problem it didnt happpen when i had the version 5.2 but when i uninstalled the 5.3 to 5.2, the bug was transferred somehow. Meanwhile initially the 5.2 didnt have that problem. so i just installed the 5.3 like that

 

hey! i forgot to mention that i had installed the Rev2 version itself. hopefully this gets fixed in the future updates. i guess i'll have to uninstall this and reinstall the Analog Lab 4 which i've been using till now.

i don't think so that this is the case. the reason why i don't is, in my old laptop which had a 5400RPM HDD, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and an i3 processor with 2 cores with a max clock of 2GHz, the Analog Lab (edit: it was Analog Lab 4) with 13k presets loaded completely fine, without freezing like this. now i have a laptop that i bought a couple of weeks ago which has a Ryzen 5 6 core 12 thread processor, with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and an NVME SSD, which is 3-4x better than the old one, and Analog Lab V is freezing. i'll try removing some presets as you said, maybe the majority of 3rd party ones. anyways thanks for the response!

also could you tell me which version of Analog Lab are you running? so that i could try that version and see if it fixes the issue?

 

I'm using version 5.3.0.1152

about the demo playlist, it used to load before, but once I deleted it, it never comes back, maybe try that ? make sure to run the DAW as admin.

I just closed my current work and open the Live once again and load analog labs, still approx. 10 sec freeze, maybe less.

 

how can i delete the playlist? i can't delete it through Analog Lab, when i click on the delete playlist button it doesn't do anything (maybe it is deleting but it gets created right after that)

i deleted the playlist thing and it has become a little faster like about 5 seconds faster but still i have to wait for a little long time to be able to choose presets. also i can't find any Analog Lab V with version 5.3.0.1152, maybe it was a typo and you were referring to the 1552 version which i'm having right now.

i'll try installing a previous version like 5.2.0 or the Moria version and see if it fixes the issue.

edit : adding to the comment to make my issue more clear, the plugin does load under 10 seconds. but after 5 seconds of browsing presets, it freezes for about 15-20 seconds and after that it all works fine.

 

Can you make some screenshots from the Task Manager ?
1.) The Avenger needs about 15 seconds after being called. Example: Vengeance - Avenger (6.74 GB Library)

2.) The Avenger is ready to play in Studio One after 15 seconds

i think my issue is similar to the Avenger situation you mentioned. for the screenshots, here you go : https://imgur.com/a/uPZYNxZ (hopefully you can see the images). the first image is when i drag and drop the VST3 to the MIDI track (the initial loading), then the second one is when i can use it for 5 seconds before it freezes the DAW. the 3rd and 4th is when it's frozen (edit : about 10-15 seconds apart from each other), and the 5th one is when i can finally use it.

 

I looked at pictures, 46%! You can of course buy 8 GB of RAM. Then you would have 16 GB of RAM - or you can change the way you work and leave it with Analog Lab and load the individual instruments instead.

 

guys when i like a preset it doesnt save or show up at the liked tab. any help?

 

3.8.4. The Preset Details column

When a preset is selected, the part to the right of the preset list shows a window with details about the selected preset.

Use the Save As button, located in the three-dot menu at the top right of the Preset Info window,
to edit information about the presets such as names, styles and comments that you want to add.

For the user presets there is a button for deleting (Delete) in the three-point menu at the top right of the preset info window.
This button is only available when editing user presets (factory presets cannot be deleted).

 

it only shows up as liked if you have the individual plugin. i only have pigments as an individual plugin from the V Collection series, so whenever i like a pigment preset, it shows up as liked, but other presets don't (if the preset is liked, the heart will be highlighted blue)
