For Windows best option is OBS + ReaStream plugin. For macOS use Screenflow.
But if you really want to record to camtasia then look for voicemeeter banana routing

OBS + ReaStream plugin setup at 12:30 min you need to add ReaStream in Audio Filters tab.

For Mac you can use the build in Quicktime player, it does Screen Recording.
Capturing audio through an interface can be a bit of a hassle, check Rogue Amoeba stuff, I also use Movavi Soundgrabber.

 

Yeah back in the day I was using Rogue Amoeba Snapz Pro X and still had to record the audio separately.

 

Also been struggling with that stuff for a long time! Right now this 'Sound Grabber' (part of Movavi Screen Recorder 5)
is listed under Output Devices, and just works (10.14 with Motu interface).

 

All in all nice vid.. but did he say AXR4?? if he got himself a 2000+$ interface and he still has to use ANY additional SW to record just anything.. man, that's some bad investment

Also, any additional SW will eat your PC's resources, introduce unnecessary instability and should be only used if you have a cheapo interface that does not solve "rec from multiple sources" on driver-HW level. Speaking of cheapo, I'm using RMEs now, but hopefully I'll be able to test cheaper MOTU and Audient sol soon. It's clear they made the drivers/SW with the current streaming-hysteria in mind. Will let you know how a 100$ interface deals with these tasks..;)
