I was primarily disagreeng to the stupid meme which was attached to your post earlier, where you compared actions of the german government to what the mafia is doing. Seems to me like that you have no clue about the concept of commonwealth…

 

What meme? There is none now nor was there ever!

Of course I understand the concept of commonwealth, it is implicit in the word itself. Furthermore, any government body's behavior that extracts a financial penalty due to infringement of their rule of law which hurts the citizen, in this case monetarily, but does not redistribute that money to those who were victims but instead reaps the profit for its own uses (even though it may trickle back to the general population in one form or another) is acting thug like. I guess that you didn't read my follow up post where I amended my thought towards the govt acting morally when I found more detailed information from BEAT16. It's just 3 posts befor this one.

 

1. Your post contained a picture earlier which I was refering to.
2. The conclusion you draw aboout "the government" is wrong and purely based on prejudice. These "own uses" you are criticising are in fact what commonwealth is based on. You just take a term like "government" which is a structure composed of thousands of people, then you personalize it as "The" as if it would be a single entity and blame it is corrupt. That's the type of rhetorical technique people use when trying to sell a pseudo-argument based on nothing more than prejudice as factual. When IN FACT, this money is used for maintaining/improving/financing public life like infrastructure etc. If that is "thug-like" to you, well then you should move to a different country like China and Belarusz and really witness WHAT corruption in politics actually means. I wonder if you can from Thomann from there… ;)

You keep on harping on about my seeming ignorance about how governments work which is quite silly. My gripe was when I errently believed the govt was not making it possible for people to recup their money which already has been addressed and which you have glossed over. And no, I don't need to move to China or Belarus to witness first hand their own corruption to understand that corruption is a thing in every country. It would be ludicrous to believe anything else.
