Ok Flat was maybe the wrong term. I mean how can generic applications, which do not know the frequency response of a headphone, generate a desired and consistent, listening experience.

Interesting, and they even support native apple silicon !

sometimes 75 % CPU usage here on one core of my mac mini m1 :dont:

They offer a Lifetime license but write :
(Free Access to new features and upgrades for 10-years )

So they expect that a customer won't live longer than 10 years ?

Anyone got the audiotechnica bundle ?
How about audiotechnica headphones ? How do they compare to a sennheiser hd650 ?

I have only read this one ! How about audiotechnica headphones ? How do they compare to a sennheiser hd650 ?

    Sorry - O.K /// Audio-Technica ATH-AD900X

    https://productz.com/en/audio-technica-ath-ad900x-vs-sennheiser-hd-650/v/a7lg-86dD

Can you take off your dislike again!

I only buy Sennheiser - also because it is Made in Germany! They also equip the news anchors with microphones. Very high technical level. You can see that in the price for more money you also get more ...! The Audio-Technica is great.

Hello @Moonlight, I illustrated the comparison!

    AKG K701 Stereo Kopfhörer - 129 EUR www.thomann.de/de/akg_k701.htm

After reading about number three on this list, you might wonder if it’s even possible for Sennheiser to make better headphones than that. But it is, and they’re called HD 650.

They feature specially silk acoustic design to ensure precision damping, which brings the total harmonic distortion (THD) down to 0.05%, which is extremely low.

They also boast about ‘hand-selected matched driver elements’ and ‘high power neodymium’ that ‘deliver maximum efficiency’. This means ‘really good stuff’ in English!

They open-back design ensures a natural sound which is balanced and transparent with amazing, full enhanced bass and incredibly smooth trebles that are enough to satisfy any audiophile.

They feature a specially modulated connecting cable that is Kevlar-reinforced, which means that it will last for a very long time. The handling noise is also minimal.

These professionalprofessional headphones also come with a 2-year warranty, which is nice to know.

    Pros:
    + Amazing sound
    + Kevlar-reinforced cable
    + 0.05% THD
    + 2-year warranty

Why We Liked It - Not everybody would think that these headphones are worth so much money, but if you’re an audiophile and know better than them, you’ll know that it’s totally worth it. You listen to music all day long, maybe even in your work, and you’re not going to settle for second best. These are the headphones for you.

Just got the DT990’s myself to go with my 770’s for tracking. They are a lovely headphone, and when using with Sonarworks or Morphit, definitely can hear more clarity when listening to reference tracks.

Realphones gives more natural result than other similar software I tried. Couple times I cached myself on thimking Im not in headphones (SH650HD)
Acustica Audio gives most awful result, like i put phaser on masterbus.

Latency in 48k is 232 samples :woot: so that's no option for me

    [EDIT]
Just tried the demo, the standalone can have 16 samples (0.3ms) buffer here,
but 25 % CPU on one Core.

OK but no native apple silicon version, no comparison what you can get with Realphones

Doesn't work at on on may mac mini m1 under logic / big sur

Nice! similar to Sonarworks Reference here, but it just corrects the frequency response,
so no speaker simulation, the sound is always in your head not infront of you. (as with Realphones)

havent found a demo to download, yet, you ?

If realphones guys manage to drop the cpu load i will buy it instantly
