Recent got the komplete keyboad so thought id start a thread to see if there any more users among us and to share any info etc

 

Only advice is to use the sister site software. It removes limitations on what libraries you can load. Stay away from NI updates. And yes, you can still use your legit libraries and plugins.

 

Ive used the Sister site for over 10 years fella so software wise i know what im doing its the customization of komlete keyboard software getting 3rd party plugins working etc with presets so they near too the native instrumets ones , PresetMagician,nymbankBatch are 2 programs im looking at but not sure how they both work yet , ive found a bits of stuff on the NI forum and various spots on the web with free & paid nks-libraries .

 

also use Kontakt, Maschine, Reaktor fixed to play NI stuff without registration.

 

who's got the keyboard how far you got with 3rd party pugin intergration ?

 

Dead easy to do, however it still doesn't support VST3, and it takes a while to get into the habit of using the Kontrol wrapper instead of just sticking a plugin into a track. But once you do, then it's piss easy to switch between tracks and plugs using just the keyboard.

The mapping is quick to do for non-NKS plugins and you only have to do it once. I recommend getting into saving them as user presets/chains for quick browsing.

Yes, it will.

1. You can map any VST and save it as an NKS preset. I takes some time.

3. There is a free utility that creates NKS presets automatically (including artwork images and audio previews!) for many VSTs. It is not compatible with all of them and it needs to analyze them first. I've used it many times, it's good. Yes, you can do NKS presets / mappings yourself and it's really easy to do.

There was a thread here recently about a piece of software called PresetMagician which automates creating NKS presets for synths, however I've yet to try it.

 

Anyone know how to fix the plug-in not found when loading from user-made presets , i have vst installed and can be selected via the dropdown menu on screen via mouse but not from kontrol keyboard .

also any chance you can share some of your work with us here ( database files , images ,user content folders)
the Eventide bundle,Soundtoys any instruments etc
I would not ask you to share any paid for ones tho , i have got 90% of the ones of the nk forum and the dropbox up and working so far .

I have a keyboard, but I actually do not use Komplete Kontrol anymore. I works slow, I think it makes my daw more unstable... would be nice if it just worked, loading the plugin and the keyboard would recognize the plugin, with the hassle of loading Komplete Kontrol and plugin inside.

 

I use KK in Reaper. Have a hotkey assigned to add track from template with KK and Kontakt pre-loaded (plus alternate templates with EQ and Compression). Works seamlessly with my S61, and is hassle free.

 

I had the same issue but after upgrading to Komplete Kontrol 2.6.2 everything is working smooth on my end on Mac OS Catalina
