    Hi,
In Ableton you can select couple of midi notes on a track plus the empty space after the last note and duplicating notes would put the selection exactly after the selected space, same about automation ndoes.
In studio one when I select notes and try to duplicate them it does not consider the empty space after the last midi note selected and the duplicate would be put exactly besides the last note of previous selection!
Any solution? (Same problem for automation nodes)

Yes, the transfer is really a shift. Copying is also very easy and quick. Click on the notes and copy them (Ctrl / Cmd + C). Then open the track list on the left in the editor and select the other track. Then press Ctrl + Shift + V (paste at original position). This will insert the note exactly in the temporal position where it was originally, but in the track you just selected.

Well, I am talking about duplicating notes in the same track(hence horizontally) after the already selected section.

Yep, I just tried for notes. The function is achieved via duplicate range. Just mark a range above the notes, select them all, right click on a note in that range and select Duplicate or and just hit D.
