I want to prevent any communication from my Computer to Ableton in my host file.

Does someone know what exact IP addresses and websites do I need to block?

PS: Would you also recommend software like "LittleSnitch" ?

    (macOS Big Sur 11.4).

@4spot For macOS, yes; Little Snitch. It's great.
    True.
And there was famously even a release that wasn't done properly, maybe included something bad, can't remember.
But for macOS at least, I cannot recommend Little Snitch enough.
I seem to remember there are old trials of LS about, and they time out after 3 hours.
Compared to an hour, worth finding depending on OS.
If using Ableton Live whilst online, yes.
Are you always online when making music? lol
?? You don't need to be online to auth! haha
    It's a crack, remember?

Having a firewall is absolutely necessary, whether you use crack or not. Little Snitch is a great app and version 5 works with Big Sur, for mojave "Hands off" is very good.
As a general rule, you can block all Ableton traffic, but there are cases in which some ports must remain open, such as those legit plugins that need to call home to activate. I keep the port open for Overbridge Digitakt plugin for example, Dante also uses ethernet ports to transmit and receive audio.
    Good luck

    oooh.
To anybody: turn on Firewall in mac...it's OFF by default! Thanks Apple. :deep_facepalm:
Anyway. This thread doesn't matter; the second post was just to include hidden illegal product links.
    So chill.
Yes, because it will reveal in realtime what Live wants to link to, and you just deny it forever.
So even though nobody posted you the addresses 2 months ago, LS is all you need.
