hey hello there. I can give it try.

But what i ended up loving the most about xyplorer was the dual vertical windows for selecting/copying files.
Most sample mananger totally miss this feature, they focus to much on a waveform view, which is good to have, but which is not so important.

Really love that it loads fast.
I hate it, when folders and files are mixed up (is this fixable in the settings?)

This is how looks for me. (Win10 Pro x64 20H2)

I like the Player, its respsonsive. Again a Dual Window support would be awsome. I dont use and hate tags, since ableton cant read them anyway. So i setup folders like Hats, Claps, etc - it just works for me.

When i find some sample i just copy it into my library in the folder named after the category.

(Excuse me, if i maybe overlooked any features)

I am very old school with file managers - classic 90s style.

Hey thanks for the feedback, if you want to have two windows, you can have on one side Breezer on the other any windows explorer window. Breezer support copy/paste and drag'n'drop, so you can take a folder form Breezer and drop into another forlder/drive in file explorer, same with files. Is an area where I know we can improve (sometimes the drag operation is not 100% predictable, you have then to manually press F5 to refresh the folder view), but is on our radar.

It uses the standard windows copy/move dialogs so you'll be pretty familiar with it, and you can undo the changes directly in file explorer. Tell me if could be a solution. And also do some experiments with some copies to see if it fits and works well on your system, just in case ;-)

Also if you hate tags (someone loves, someone hates them i see in the past years) go to the view menu in the toolbar and choose folders, so you hide the tag panel. Also I suggest you (I see a bug already fixed in the background image) go to the options -> workspace -> choose use custom window background and then choose a brackground (inside breezer folder you'll find some under backgrounds folder) and set it to Sizing more "uniform to fill" to get rid of the ugly white strip I see (see picture).

For the mix between folders and files, you sorted by rating column I think, just click on the file name column header and you're ready to go ;-)

    Let me know!
