Very interesting vid. I'm still loving his humor, his questions and ideas.
But I was surprised that he didn't know that analogue shelves have different starting freqs. Usually for low shelves it's 10-times higher and for high shelves10-times lower than the selected freq.

 

Does digital cramping occur with this emu, or doesn't it?

 

Installed the demo. Played a bit with it for a bit. By now I have so many channelstrips that I just don't care. I wouldn't buy it unless it's on a 30 Dollar sale in like 2 years :D

 

I ignored this plugin for so long just because PA releases so much and also because of the hype surrounding the plugin.
I went and bought it for 30$ and if i knew it sounded that good i would have payed a lot more for it.
This is their best sounding EQ, period. It can rival any AA plugin.
Low cpu, tons of options ( gate/comp/limiter/clipper), filters to die for, EQ is warm but not muddy and sounds like hardware.
Amek 9099 and SSL Channel Strip 2 are probably the best sounding channel strips right now.
I have no idea what kind of tech they used but they should go and redo all their older plugins with this tech ( console n, sll e/g, etc.)
