When I try to duble click the elicenser , I get this error : This program does not support the version of Windows your computer is running.
I am on Windows 7 , I doubt that is really the problem and I`m not planing on ever updating.
Does anybody else also get this , or any ideea on what to do ?

On principle, it's possible that you'll need Win10, especially if the installation process already fails.

 

Problem

On some Windows 7 installations, the latest version of the eLicenser Control Center (6.10.5.1203) cannot be started. When trying to run the eLicenser Control Center, the following system error appears:

'The program can't start because
api-ms-win-core-winrt-string-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer.
Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.'

Solution

The missing component can be installed manually or by updating Windows using Windows Update.

The installation itself didn`t really fail. It`s just the last step , step 4 , the elicenser...
