If a hardware synth was only about the sound, I'd rather re-build it using a good software modular synth.
I would appreciate those 4 groups of faders, just for the fun of it.

 

of course you then make those sounds with any modular like VCV, modular softube, or nord modular G2 and it sounds like monumental shit that's why you have to use them below their max sound and then play it for some good preamps.

If doctors didn't have enough science to study and manufacture their analog electronic machines to get their best sound, they would be stupid enough to put a DAC where their kick drum or bass hits the output channel for lack of ability to ingest all that audio information.

but the doctor knows that analog has no barrier because it does not need DAC, only its maximum ceiling in the maximum volume allowed by the manufacturer will be enough to eat up the volume and sound impact of a digital that farts because it cannot go higher without distorted itself internally.

The worst thing that can happen to you with a digital synthesizer is that it doesn't measure up to the bass created by filter sweeps.

So anything that sounds good, regardless of the brand, will be of more interest if I want to have a great polyphonic synth sound with great volume. taking into account the problem of jupiter 8 that due to roland's failure it will always distort with 8-note polyphonic pads with great muscles in the bass.
