If you like science this is also so interesting
The double slit experiment can be replicated with tiny drops over a liquid vibrating

Yeah, 'cos this type of music is commonly associated with this particular film genre (there is a relationship between some combination that involves atonality, dissonance, randomness, modularity and states of loss of control - following what some call embodied cognition). Fun fact: I know people who started their day listening to this track, but it's really quite unusual (avant garde music lovers ). Although I really liked this work, mainly because of the chaotic energy and mainly "novelty", I listen with reservations. The fact is that it entered my color palette: as a composer, it's important to know, if you need to, produce this kind of sound, but it's definitely not something most people enjoy to hear.

Yes, it's strange the psychological engagement, I always wonder if Clair de lune of Debussy it's really sad (losing something that is inevitable, and accepting it slowly, kind of feeling) or is just the association with films.

In general I listen music because the feeling of what it produce, but I really don't get into Avant Garde or understanding why people love it so much, there are some passages, maybe seconds where I am, hmmm interesting, my mom love Tzadik records she is more like a fan of John Zorn and all his work, I guess she use it to sort of disconnect from everything.

I can relate to my own rare tastes specially when meditating in noisy environments, I never use those noob piano melodies with all mumbo jumbo chackra healing hz etc, while I tried with Monroe's BrainSync and all the copycats, what works for me are dark atmospheres, dark chill genre kind of, sometimes I realized that some of them are pretty odd with some latin/devil sort of chanting, but that teleports me into sunyata dimension and I forgot everything.

    Dark Ambient 6 songs

I LOVE science, I'm an engineer (geek for sure). This is fascinating, thanks for posting!

In college, I had course called Signaling Systems. It was all about Fourier transforms. The professor was also a musician so explained a lot of the concepts relating to fundamental frequencies and their overtones as it relates to musical instruments. Great class!

Yes same here, just days ago realized that almost everything in my life it's about music or maths, I know so much about music while I stopped playing when I was teen, drop out of civil engineering, 15 years working in software development, when kid I wanted to be astronomer (inspired by Carl Sagan) and well very geek or nerdy stuff

I just found what I was talking before about the harmonies in the solar system, about rotation and translation of the celestial bodies.
Synchronicity is related to all things with rhythms or frequencies, from a pendulum clock, to firebugs, planets and the subconsciousness clapping of the public.

A notable mention about weird sounds is Virtual Riot
While it's not my style he is very creative about sound designing, I learned many things from his videos about using Xfer Serum VST, specially to create those talking synths from D&B or Dub Step

Once heard a Coatimundi fart in a mud puddle...

Actually, people's response on telling them this is usually pretty unique too./
