Hi, i'm running the unlocked kontakt v5.2.1 on mac
i've just update the os at v10.9 (Mavericks)
all the libraries works but the Vir2 (Acoustic Legends and Electri6ity), both of them are in demo mode.

i've tried all the triable... -delete preferences, update the service center, uninstall and reinstall- but can't fix it.

does anybody know to turn that libraries back working?

    thank you.

    V

Ya updating the legal Service Center probably not good. As that is what checks all NI products validity. Anyway. If you want to totally delete a library you have to delete 3 things.

    ***********edit*********

Just about to answer this for you then realized you were on mac. Sorry don't know what to do on mac. On windows you have to delete more than just preferences. You have to delete registry keys and an xml info file. So I don't know what the equivalent of that would be on mac. Sorry man, I'm sure someone else will know. Or maybe that could be enough info to point you in the right direction? Good luck!

    thank you tater.
on mac is nearly the same. the difference is (obviously) in the path/directories of that files.
i've already done it, but without any results.
i don't understand why just that two libraries... the other ones work perfectly.

    Hi

take those libraries who are in demo mode, closed kontakt and went in to library, preferences and started looking for all the com.kontakt plist files (example com.native-instruments.Symphobia.plist) delete those plist files. next start kontakt 5 in stand alone again , you will notice all those plist you deleted ,deleted those from K5 and libraries missing. next just re add all those libraries and you should be good to go with no, demo modes.

just try this hope it will worke. :mates:

thank you for the replies, but it doesn't work: not the .plist deleting, nor the service center uninstallation...
    is very frustrating.
could the cause be that those libraries were made for kontakt 4 ???

dont think... all those libaries worked for kontakt 5 too.

did you remove the library and put it again inside the kontakt player?

Maybe something is wrong with Mavericks. Did you use the libraries with Mac OSX 9.8.5.

Electri6ity definitely runs with K5 on Mavericks. *yes*

    Follow these steps:

    1. Electri6ity is a library with an info.nkx (25,7MB) and info.nkc file in it’s root folder. Is it there?
    2. First delete the Electri6ity.xml in Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Service Center,
if there is such a file.
    3. Then delete both Electri6ity.plist files in Mac/Library/Prefs and User/Library/Prefs.
    4. Open com.native-instruments.Content.plist in Mac/Library/Prefs.
Look if there is an entry for Electri6ity. If yes, delete that entry, close the file.
    5. Now open Kontakt and add Electri6ity via the library tab. Confirm.
    6. Look at Library/AppSupport/Native Instruments/Service Center again. There must be
a new Electri6ity.xml file. If not, tell me.
If there is an .xml, open it with TextEdit and keep the SNPID number in your mind.
    Close the .xml file.
    7. Close Kontakt and wait a minute. Then look into User/Library/Prefs, open the
new created Electri6ity.plist with TextEdit. Is there a UserListIndex number assigned? Or just a Zero number?
    8. Look into Mac/Librarx/Prefs. Open Electri6ity.plist. There are four entries (ContentDir, HU, JDX, Visibility) Right?
ContentDir leads to where your library is located. Yes? Visibility entry = 3. Yes?

Now please tell me first, how it went so far and what numbers you have found (SNPID and UserListIndex), before you do anything else.

By the way, i still use Kontakt 5.2.0, because on 5.2.1 some libraries didn't work.
Electri6ity works, but i remember it was the only Vir2 library, for which i had to add manually an entry in Content.plist with the same number as in the .xml file. For some other libraries with .nkx i had to create an additional .nicnt and/or a .xml with the same SNPID/HU/JDX to make it work.....

    Ok, here's the results:

    1. yes, of course.
    2. done
    3. done
    4. i've deleted this string:
    <key>k2lib0843</key>
    <string>Electri6ity</string>
    did you mean this way?
    5. done
    6. no, there's not...
    7. there's a zero
    8. No, just two entries: ContentDir and Visibility. ContentDir reports the library path, Visibility is 3.
