Hey Guys
What's everyones fave plugin that makes an electric guitar sound closer to an acoustic using a regular electric guitar? (No piezo... although I do have a Godin Montreal with Piezo bups).

I know they won't sound exactly like an acoustic. But getting it closer will do just fine.

Positive Grid - BIAS FX 2 VST (has an acoustic simulator) & IK Multimedia - AmpliTube 4 VST (has an acoustic simulator)

No - I have a real guitar and an effects device where I can simply choose a preset and it then emulates an electric guitar or an acoustic guitar! Ik multimedia - Amplitube 4 I would use if I wanted to make an electric guitar sound like an acoustic one.

Acoustic simulator
The new Acoustic Simulator appears in the design of a stomp pedal. With this effect, the sound of any electric guitar should become the sound of an acoustic guitar. Three different body types and types of wood for the guitar top can be selected and their typical properties blended into one another.

 

the ones mentioned above are alright, but in my opinion Blue Cat's Re-Guitar is better, it has lots more options for both electric and acoustic guitar sounds, I'm sure once you try it you'll be impressed with its capabilities.

Peavey revalver. The ACT input Instrument Modeling is the best vst acoustic/other Instrument sim I heard.

Edit forgot... Because you have piezos you could simply try IRs. There are IRs to make the piezo d.i. sound of an acoustic sound more natural. They work with electrics too. But it really depends on the guitar you use. But with your godin (piezo) you could try them. There are some acoustic IRs floating around the internet (free). Just google. 3 Sigma Audio have some that sound quite nice.
