Nice review. I didn't notice there was a back panel feature so thanks for pointing that out for me. What's sag control? I liked the Cab's too, I also thought it was great of them to look out on the custom cab sim loader too. It irks me when an amp sim doesn't include it.

I can also agree it sounded to have plenty depth. At least more than what they included from Ampeg in IK Amplitube 4. But is it worth 200? Idk if I really need it after my demo at this point. I have several Ampeg IR packs and I can plug those to any of my amp sims now. Maybe if the shit was like $50-70 then fair play. I think I will just look out for a sale then see how much it is then.

 

I think it is tweaked together with the "bias" setting which simulating amount of the signal driven into the tube (more signal, more saturation), while Sag control is like controlling the intensity (or rather type) of "tube compression and envelope" effect. It has softening effect or some sort. Maybe other members here have better explanation than I do. I usually sent my amp to this one old dude technician that sometimes talk to me about it after he did all the bias stuff of my amp. Of course I didn't pay attention, I just want to take the amp and bounce right away.

 

Oh ok cool thanks for clarifying, description reminds me of the melt button on Aurora DSP Mammoth that curbs some of that aggressive edge back and smooths out your bass signal a bit.
