These are the worst for mixing low end. How do i know? I used to own a pair.

 

Well, there's a fair bit of subjectivity here, that's why I said A/Bing and trying them first.

I've got mine for 10+ years I think and I find them very translatable. To each their own I guess.

 

Used Dt-880 with Sonarworks for some years, now more than happy with Ultrasone 750 Pro-i WITHOUT Sonarworks, good translation , and fast transient response, lowend much better than dt-880

 

I guess you can make it work, but its a struggle, the low end is cut off pretty bad. They are very clean though but only the best mixed/mastered tracks are listenable trough these.

Young people often hear a few kHz in the ultrasound range.

 

I was just thinking that. I also have a pair and have used a lot of them for the past 20 years and they do have low end...
