I understand Kjaerhus Audio. It was his plugins.
But why Slate?
He was only employee there and they doesn't know about his bad things.
Why to hate the whole company?
Or there is something that I mixed or doesn't know?

 

Because he fitted his plugs with a huge burst of noise if they were in trial/demo.
Potentially damaging a customer's monitoring and their hearing so they can't hear how bad his plugs are.
Well, that's why most people hate him.
But maybe Lois knows him personally. lol. Who knows?

All my hatred goes to those who invented dongles, Ilok and any other torture to complicate the life of the paying customer. Further hate to those who invented audio watermarking and to all devs who use it. More hate for those who distribute trials that just turn off after a few minutes of use, or those in which background noise appears.
Obviously my maledictions also go to those apps that install (without warning) bloatware, unwanted software managers and spy algorithms inside our computers
I really hope that all these intrusive procedures imposed by the devs become illegal: they are an abuse

 

Uh, the 'water-marking' in Kontakt libs is actually not in the audio files.
Can you imagine having to water-mark every single sample of every single library with each customer's info?! haha.

Since I started using presonus stock plugins, I seriously don't miss 3rd party plug ins. In every category. The only reason to use 3rd party plugin is for real-time auto-tune cause melodyne wont do this and vocalign stuff. Fatchannel and ampire are seriously impressive.

I usually avoid all expensive cracked plugins. The reason being that when I get used to them I often end up buying them. So it's in my wallet's interest not to

MAAT thEQorange. The DMG Audio EQ's have a bit louder pre-ringing but shorter, and they have less THD. Pro-Q3 has both shorter and less loud pre-ringing (on maximum LP) but a bit more THD. Both of them also use way less CPU so all-in-all thEQorange is not better than any of those two and the price point is just ridiculous.

 

People who wouldn't use Softube are the same people who thinn Waves and Slate Digital plugins are the best

So what? Lois post has references to slate and tone2 plugins, and this references can be reason to dislike. Why some users here
can make such conclusions about other users? It's a dangerous precedent to try to blame the user

 

The point in this case is we're talking about software already cracked but we don't use (though it would only be just download it and install it).

I have passed on and don't have on my hard drive: Waves, Slate, Izotope. Don't want em don't need em. Retroactive mention: Bomb Factory. If any of you Gen Xers remember them, they were the WORST.
