For gated reverbs/plates - Masterverb by WaveArts, so light on CPU and great sound and flexibility.
for very fast reverbs, ableton reverb

Experimental reverbs anything from Valhalla will do.

    AAR for Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggggggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee reverbs.

Valhalla Plate ain't nothing experimental per se, rather pretty good sounding, IMHO.
Valhalla Shimmer is also great for them huge revs.

highly praised by a lot off people seemsa must to try
    --
for me no brainer to go ultimate bass (not guitar ) reverb is abletons
    --
blackhole must be installed too for that endless stuff

    --vallhalla

--this and that .its more hard to say which is shit than which is good in the marked

imho people who produce electronic should not care to much bout reverb marked which is most bloated of all plugins
for recording engineers and orchestral or quiet acoustic stuff producers its another story i guess ...

    For "traditional" stuff :

Valhalla Vintage Verb & Valhalla Plate
Liquidsonics Seventh Heaven & Lustrous Plates
    FabFilter Pro-R

98% of the time these plugins give me any type of reverb I can ask for.
I have a thing for plate reverbs, so I'll sometimes try all of them for hours. Kush Goldplate sounds really nice but is unfortunately a CPU hog. Arturia and Black Rooster's 140 emulations are nice too (love Arturia's spring rev too btw). But most of the time I'll either use Valhalla Plate or Liquidsonics Seventh Heaven's plate 1 & 2 algorithms.

Also, as a quick set & forget reverb that goes well with almost anything, Zynaptiq Subspace (especially algorithm C).

For ambient & sound designy stuff :

    Zynaptiq Adaptiverb
    Polyverse Comet
    Relab Sonsig A
    NI Raum
    Valhalla Supermassive

I tried really, really hard to love Melda's MTurboReverb but.. Idk, doesn't do it for me lol

Great article indeed but that infamous smartass "use your DAW's reverb/EQ" line is becoming a little overplayed in those types of articles. We get it, our DAW's reverb and EQ are amazing and great :)

For me, my go-to now is RAUM.
