it matters whether there is free space on the disk and the amount of RAM ... STEAM location (inside the computer or outside ) connection(if SSD)

omnisphere is just slow. accept it.
and the more you update the slower it will get.
version 1 is a lot faster.

Try and re-patch the plugin with the keygen. I don't have the latest version, but I remember sometimes when I had to write in the code after patching it got very sluggish. When I re-patch it, it got fixed. Also you should not have library on external disks or old HDD's

fix - try delete ZMAP index in :\Spectrasonics\STEAM\Omnisphere\Soundsources\Factory\Core Library and restart ... Omnisphere rescan files and may be can work faster ...

If you are on Win.. some had problems with laggy browsing after putting their DAW in Win 7/8 compatibility mode.

    ? :
Well that's not what VolkoV said.
I have 230+ GB in my external Spectrasonics folder.
Because to have it on an internal system drive would be silly and not good for the OS!

    Dupe post, eh @ensoniq ?

I didn't say that you need to keep it inside ... you can and should store it on an external drive (if you have the right connection and a high-speed drive ) .the meaning of my words - there are many details on which the speed of work may depend

When I said external disk I meant external usb hard disk. All should be internal; sata SSD, M2 or NVMe. I don't have my STEAM folder on OS C disk. It will not hurt the OS in anyway, but it is smarter to have it on another disk due to for example reinstalling of the OS. I also regularly clone my C drive and it would be very unnecessary to clone 200GB of STEAM folder every time.

Yes, but I was always under the impression that reading tonnes of samples off your system drive, whilst it's trying to be a system drive!, can be not good for performance.
Plus this below seems more relevant really:
    Agreed.

You should not be having any issues with that setup.
Good air flow and component cooling?
Is the memory all the same speed, brand & type? (matched)
Is your BIOS up-to-date & properly provisioned?
Is the TRIM feature on for both SSDs?
Are you over-clocking CPU, memory, video card?
    Is video card bios up-to-date?
Are drivers being updated through Microsoft Updates or? If so turn off automatic driver updates, download drivers from developer(s) web site, uninstall Microsoft drivers & install the Intel, AMD, NVidia etc.. drivers as needed.

Another possible issue is power supply. Should be rated for maximum combined power draw (wattage).
Also pay attention to 12 & 5 Volt maximum on label of PS.

A good free program HWiNFO - Free System Information, Monitoring and Diagnostics

Also. A repaste of CPU & GPU may help. Especially if the system has been over-clocked.

I don’t think it’s anything to do with that. I have matching ram, good psu, up to date bios etc.
When I had MacBook I was experiencing exactly same thing. Also every single other software runs fine including Spectrasonics Trilian, Keyscape and Stylus RMX

I definitely notice a huge unresponsive and laggy UI with latest Omnisphere update for Mac. It started SOLELY after the latest update so I might rewind back to version before it. Not missing anything crucial so..
Any Mac users also having the same problems and perhaps have some solutions?

p.s. anyone selling legit all spectrasonics bundle?

Buy More RAM ? Buy a new Graphic Card 2 GB ?

Omnisphere v2.6 - System Requirements for All Users:
    • Native 64-bit on OS X and Windows—requires 64-bit hosts.
    • 2.4 GHz or higher processor.
    • 8 GB RAM minimum, 16 GB or more recommended.
    • USB 2 Port for boxed media, Broadband internet connection for download.
    • 64 GB of free hard drive space (twice that for the download installation process).
    • Solid-state (SSD) or USB 3 drives recommended when installing Omnisphere’s Core Library on an external drive.

Have you done a read/write speed test on both SSDs?
Is one or both SSDs sharing PCIe lanes with a SATA port or PCIe card slot?
Are the m.2 slots each PCIe Gen 3x4 (PCIe 3.0 with 4 lanes of PCI Express)?

I can run one instance of Omnisphere on an old Dell N5010 laptop (now retired), with a 5400rpm drive & 4GB of memory. Patch loads are slower but, browser is fast.

As I have already said, you, should not be having any issues. Something is off in your system/setup.
