I should have screen captured it. FL Studio v20.8.3.2293 was up on the sister site from Hidera for a really short time before getting taken down.
Has anyone tested it yet?

Tested, it had a trojan bitcoin miner. It wasn't a legit release.

yes i still have it and have tested it it didn't work the patch showed me an error even though it was patched then it shows me the error that the fl exe were not found is very strange patch?
it is now re-uploaded that I have now deleted everything and go to the old version 20.2.7

Yea I'm on 20.2.7 working on something right now so didn't want to install it.
Looked promising, even had photos how to install etc.

I can well imagine that it comes from rutracker and not from hidera itself a few days ago that was determined in rutracker that someone then released I think that the patch should be completely redone

 

I took a look at the files that it installed, and 95% are scripts and the bitcoin miner, the other 5% are 2 fake dlls grabbed from the 20.7.2 version.
The patch itself isn't even a patch here is the script of that little window that shows up:

See? does nothing at all except calls other malicious scripts to do their job.

The releaser also added an exception in windows defender using PowerShell technique:

so go to windows defender and manage exceptions delete all the exceptions that you didn't add.

Delete fl studio from the add or remove programs tab. and reinstall the 20.7.2 from Dima or the version that you were using,

The last step to do is a full scan using your AV (I used Malwarebytes and it killed all of them) and restart your computer.

Thanks keygen.exe! I'm glad I asked here and didn't install it.

 

That was a false relase from well known Russian tracker. @ keygen.exe was quick enough to confirm it and the release was deleted as fast as possible. Everyone who used the fake patch should do these.

Ps. The release was in moderation for days (RU site) but seems like it was not properly moderated!
