Using a spectrum analyzer or, an EQ with a analyzer, play the passages where vocals are prominent (less instrumentation).
You will see the frequency peaks. Listen carefully to the dry sound vs the wet sound. Not knowing what the original sounds like, compared to the video, I, will say that the vocal sound in general is over processed (imho).

Without knowing how the vocal was recorded you can approximate with careful study & tweaking. Nothing more.
Then there are the final mix & mastering decisions.

    easy!

you're likely missing the room, the acoustic treatment of that room, the booth, the mic that was used, and the preamp used to record the vocals in the reference.

and even if you had all those things, you're still not the engineer that recorded/mixed it, and that won't change.

hearing is as unique as fingerprints. all you can do is get close to the reference, but you'll never be exact. that's no strike against you at all; it's just inherently human.

Just to be clear i wasn't talking down.
But it does take time, learning to hear, process and apply the tools at your disposal

i would try to mix without any effects
    to mix:
that means to balance all your ingredients
from what i hear for instance:
the vocals are too loud (only in context of this whole mix)
they should be the "loudest" in a vocal mix/song but only to an extent

since your room is not treated as you say
in the beginning mix as you like (volume wise) BUT
As soon as you try to critically mix turn the volume way down on your Stereo/Speaker
and adjust (mix) all of them (channels-instruments) again.
    Then Compare again

    BUT!
    This is important!

Match the Volume of the Reference to your mix (not the other way around)
That Probably means turn the volume down on the Reference (not totally exact)

now you should have a better understanding of the process

    Next
Try with some effects (less is more)
Rome aka Reverb + (maybe)some eq on Vocals (Taking out Frequency's is better (way) than adding)
Panning the ingredients (imagine all the instruments as players in a room)
    Vocal in front!
    as always less is more

    MIX
    Check Reference

    Adjust again
    Mix Again

Then Start another tune With Fresh Ears
Once or twice a month come again and share
    (all just a suggestion)

    As i said
it takes Time, enjoy it and have FUN:mates:

Some videos I watched recently that I liked might help.
Make sure you match the level (volume) of your reference track to yours so you can compare better as well.

you need to record way cleaner there is way to much noise and room reflection going on.
also its partly hard to judge because the mp3 you send high cuts at 11k (i suppose thats the codec otherwise there may be an configuration problem <samplerate?>)

it's nearly impossible to get it tight in mixing.
you would need too butcher everything first to get rid of noise and then you got an aliased mess left to work with

if you got a shitty room get as close to the mic as you can and use an dynamic microphone, try to put something around your singer that absorbs reflections like idk matress pillows blankets...

Exactly the first thing I thought of, spot on. @BSINGH, take care of the acoustics of the room you are recording in and the mic too.
