@BEAT16 Thanks for posting Ofra Haza. Extremely talented singer, and another young victim of AIDS at the pinnacle of her career. BTW, you have been on a roll posting good music :headbang:

@Shanti Soul and R&B side of things? How about these 2 (IMO) great songs?

Suddenly, the 80's soul has gone electronic: the superstars of the stage have become Oberheim, Moog, Solina, Korg, Roland, Arp, Prophet, Yamaha, and the sound has changed: a lot

    Disclaimer:
The following playlist contains explicit synth riffs, VCO gangbangs, interracial Intercurses between black and white keys, fetishist drum programmings and hardcore gate reverbs.
    Listeners discretion is advised

    Prince - 1999 (1982)

Evelyn "Champagne" King - Love Come Down (1982)

    D Train - Keep On (1982)

    Delegation ‎– It's Your Turn (1983)

    Nona Hendryx - B-Boys (1983)

Tyrone Brunson - The Smurf (1983)

Shannon - Give Me Tonight (1984)

Mico Wave - Sleeping Single (1987)

    Alexander O'Neal - Fake (1987)

    Guy - Teddy's Jam (1988)

The Yellow Magic Orchestra (Y.M.O.) is a Japanese music trio that specializes in electro-pop. This genre was significantly influenced by them at the end of the 1970s. In their Asian homeland they enjoy a similar reputation as pioneers of electronic music, such as the Kraftwerk group in Europe and North America.

    -Mixed by Marco Trani-
He was one of the most influential DJs / producers in Italy of that period, famous for his great taste in club playlists and for his DJ mixing technique. Among other things, Marco in the 80s was my neighbor and he greatly influenced my musical culture
I want to remember him with a song he always put on his playlists, an obscure Simple Minds song (possibly the best they've ever played)

    Ciao Marco

Simple Minds - League Of Nations (1981)

Oh, Ron Trent, Terry Hunter and some others, just not 80s anymore, so close

Pal Joey - Love Is The Message (1989) - on Discogs it's credited to be originated by MFSB
(and then his many more classics in the 90's, with his very special style of early minimal vibe)
