Looking for old school hip hop material, I recently discovered the Rucker collectives collection and I really found some gems there, beautiful samples (and they were BPM and Key tagged too) and some drums in some kits, basically I'm looking for sample packs that can be used for that purpose, like jazzy instruments.
    Thanks in advance.

Just sample some old jazz. Run one shots through a 12bit sampler emulator. Run bass samples through RX950 vst... That can get you on your way to emulating that boom bap de la soul kinda vibe... That’s overly simple example...

Consider searching through audioblogs for Library music... 60s-80s stuff from Bruton and APM is golden!!!

I do listen, my issue is that I just listen and I forget that I'm looking for a sample to put in my DAW lol, but thank you for the tips though and to your contributions to the community.

listening for that golden loop was a whole art form and a skill that set producers apart. Of course if you’re going to be making money from the material this isn’t ideal.

I agree + I only do it for fun, and not thinking about selling any beats that I make.

In that case I highly encourage you to get a record player and start grabbing riffs from vinyl. It will change the way you listen to music:wink:
