When you say Miami Bass, I say.. Stetsasonic! Not from Miami but Brooklyn, but you might know their great track Miami Bass? I was totally down with 'The Hiphop band'; Talking all that Jazz, Sally, I could go on. They're actually gonna release a new album, cool!

Well, ok, here's some real fat ass Miami stuff, with Vocoders:cool:):

100% sampled. It is all Lindsey Buckingham's vocals who was in love with the Fairlight CMI sampler he kept at his Hollywood Hills home studio. Richard Dashut , the co-producer, felt that "the Fairlight started replacing some of that human touch, some of the other band members". Another interesting fact about Tango in the Night is that they used a two-track Sony digital tape machine extensively in getting audio ready for the mastering process. They found the digital tape kept the spirit and sound of the original recordings in tact better than analog. According to Droman, the engineer, "the Sony digital machine seemed to preserve what we liked about the sound of the original tracks better. The analog machine 'smeared' the sounds."

Once again, another dance hit from my dear friend Arthur Baker. The vocals are by Donnie Calvin and background vocals were by Arthur's wife, Tina B. I had the honor of being one of the first DJs to play this song. Patrons at Danceteria went nuts with it. Indeed, I ended up playing the song 5 times throughout the night. I even wrote the artist and name on a piece of paper because I got tired of repeating it. The use of D-Train's instrumental and vocal hooks from "You are the One for Me" and "Keep On" was genius. This song was followed with "The Harder they Come"

@BEAT16 "I Feel Love" (Studio Version) is NOT a 1980's song. This song was released in 1977. With that said, there is a Patrick Cowley's Megamix which was released in 1982, and therefore, it is the one that should had been posted here. It is 15 minutes of eargasm.

When people mention "I feel Love" they forget to include Robby Wedel. Without Wedel, neither Moroder nor Bellotte would have been able to achieve the "futuristic mood" they were after in "I Feel Love." Indeed, Moroder refers to Wedel as the unsung hero of the project. To put it into perspective, "I Feel Love" relies on he Moog Modular P3 for the majority of its sounds, yet Moroder admits that without Wendel they wouldn’t have been able to get any sound out of the P3. Moreover, Wedel was solely responsible for the syncing the P3's tracks. What is more outstanding about this is the fact that Robert Moog himself didn’t even know about this – he had no idea that this synching was even possible.

A great club track from 1983, and produced by Steve O'Donnell who refused to follow our advice when it came to the song's structure. As a result some DJs were refusing to include it in their sets. This resulted in the record label re-sending an extra copy in order for us to use it as the intro.

Yep. The 12" was weirdly a very long radio mix lol. Although its production had a beefier sound than most pop tracks. At least it had an empty drum section at 3/4 of the song around 7:01, i kept dual copies of this, i 'd start mixing from that section and bring in the original start after 16 bars. Although i always found it a bit cheesy i must admit it has an amazing vocal performance. Oh and i wonder how all this euro-italo dance parade we have so far still hasn't included this (was never my thing but still sounds as hooky as back in 1984, may she rest in peace):

Self Control:the Original written by Raf, Giancarlo Bigazzi und Steve Piccolo (which i always found more authentic)

(and i still love that ballad Gente Di Mare in collaboration with Umberto Tozzi) (1987) (sweet as a Tiramisu dessert)

(And.. 'Oh no!' to see those pictures of Club ruins, real proof of a foregone era. But the music & memories will live on!

Lol, I only just learned where they took it from:

And something different, being an Ambient fan I never was much into Jarre. Too much mainstream.
So when I heard this track for the first time I was surprised, almost disappointed, how could such a fantastic track be made by 'ze French dude'? But it is..
