Cool thing I noticed: If you select a preset (connected to the internet) that doesnt work without internet connection and then press a note and hold it and while youre holding the note you disable the internet connection the preset will still work fine, until you reload it
the way you disable the internet connection doesnt matter, seens like it loses data thats goes direct to RAM

And it's not possible that a server is doing some processing, it may be storing some wavetable data or something like that, because I can still run the preset if its loaded, it cant be that big of memory, I cant see a reason to someone do this kind of thing other than mining or exploiting data

Nexus 3 won't open presets from the old Team AiR release without converting them first.
It must be calling the original reFX server to convert them.

Server converts the .fxp file, not the audio data itself.

maybye ayuaska wasnt using the presets from Nexus 2 on his original one so it didnt have to do the conversion?

 

If you think you have enough knowledge to do the job, please investigate this for our wellness. This place and sister site to should have experienced programmers who can do check up on unknown source release so someone can not screw with community anymore, at least not on those sites.

I mean I will not install it anyway until there is no R2R \ V.R \ AU \ RET names included the release . But many others will do anything for Nexus 3.

 

reFX converts your old .fxp preset and sends you a new .fxp preset which is stored on ram or whatever (I don't have Nexus 2.2 presets to test at this moment)
They'll cut that service soon.

Still no explanation for the AWS server connection, the .dll obfuscation and the file dropped at ProgramData.

 

The original connects to reFX, but doesn't connect to any AWS server.
I tested that too. This version calls AWS. But legit one, doesn't.

 

Couldnt that be because of the original Nexus was using only Nexus 3 presets and not nexus 2? So it wouldnt need to to convert any file and so it wouldnt need to connect to extra ones?

 

Because there is no ROMs include yet, thats why i have to use the Contents from nexus 2 got from rutck

 

Just asking, what if the AZ version creates a virtual network which verifies the cured version?
I think the legit one didn't work with out internet connection that means the legit one called home time to time to verify the user and may be that is what the virtual servers are doing??

I PM'd him. No Nexus 2 presets involved.

 

The random ass file in ProgramData might be harmless, at least according to those few reports I found from the internet. Adwcleaner used to mark it as malware around 2016-2017 but since they updated their program the false positive went away. Doesn't explain why it appears there though.

 

That data files that are generated and stored on machine doesn't need to be malicious maybe they are simple log files, but that AWS server connection is a mystery. Since it is a legit process (from Amazon) it can not and will not be ever flagged as malware by Av companies, but for sure from what i read by now it sends some data across the internet to distant cloud servers. The most simplest explanation i can give and contribute this thread without any knowledge.

 

Managed to get everything working, must say the sound is... pretty fucking impressive and easy to use arp and fx.

How to use all the preset pack for Nexus at the sister site ? I heard some people said need Nexus 2 for that, where do i get Nexus 2 ? is it available on sister ?

or is there any workaround to use the preset packs without the Nexus 2 ?
