I'm wondering if anyone else on here is selling their music via the NFT market as well? I would love to open up the discussion.

I would love to have a discussion but that insect thingie that you put as your signature is bothering me so much that I need to close the page now (lol)
Jokes aside, I don't even know what NFT markets are, but I'm curious now

I am selling an ambient remix piece of music of a song I made. I'm putting that on a USB vape along with a 3d art piece and selling it on the NFT market.

I really feel like this could be the future for us to make money as artists.

I'm selling my kidney which is you know not fungible as well.
I just read an article about this NFT shit today morning and I was like
It seems so controversial and lame. There was an auction selling a NFT artwork for tens of millions and the buyer was a funding company that tries to promote NFT shit, so basically they did a fake (self)trade to tease people and claim it's a real thing.
I hope it doesn't go too far as it's so confusing. The World does not need more shit at the moment.

Would you mind showing me the ropes or at least point me in the right direction?

It's absolute bollocks and a borderline scam. It has no longevity and no life. You're an idiot if you think it's going to "change" or "revolutionise" anything. A few rich people and drug dealers from the dark web will buy some of it whilst the buzz is hot even though the art has absolutely zero value in the transaction - it's basically just a wrapper for another crypto, which is why people are selling stupid gifs and daft memes.

On almost every level it's morale bankrupt null and void. Disclosure sold a jpeg of their face logo - well they didn't they sold a crypto coin which pretends to be the Disclosure face but in reality they still own the face and all the rights too it, so someone just donated £100k to them for practically nothing in the hope the absolute nothing they own will be valuable to resell (oh and that went to a digital agency too)

But yeah if I was a big established artist (which is, like any platform, the only way you'll make any money on there) I'd probably sell a picture of my arsehole and let people have 3 drum sounds for my library for £100k as well, why not.

@curtified thanks for the info, I'll check it out.

@realdannys you sound like me in 2011 saying "who the f#@k is going to use a bitcoin?" :hahaha:

It's funny how people hate anything new when it comes to pushing culture forward and expanding creativity. Yeah the artists did what you mentioned but that doesn't discredit what else can be done in this space.

I am making the world's first smokable vape NFT album. I'm also working with a few other larger companies to help musicians release collectible versions of their music.

Lol lets see you do it then.

You're welcome bro! thanks for the open mind.

I agree. I get so upset by the old head mindset on this forum. So many users are scared for the future of music, creativity, creation etc.

I created a USB vape that has an unlockable NFT built into it once the user plugs it into their computer.

I look at the negative side of whatever "invention", better called scams.
The same way I looked at Facebook after they implemented the (twitter-like) newsfeed, or Uber, Airbnb, 3D TVs or bitcoin etc.
I look at the problems and the lies instead of the glamorous hype.
Because I care of consequences instead of Carpe Diem type of life.

NFTs are baseball card collectibles for super rich maniacs and imbeciles that never arrive in the post. Sure, you own them. You bought them. It's just... you don't really, do you? It's a scam.
