there is something about this that I really like...the disonant nature of it, the emptiness of it...idk it kinda works for what it is... love the voices that bounce in at 1:52. The kick could be better, but still, pretty ok...

can you get this mastered somehow?

 

this is the first mix... i've finished it right now. maybe it has some level and eq mistakes. i've tried to make a big and loud kick, but maybe it need some compression. what you don't like exactly of the kick? how do you feel the general balance of the mix?

 

Well I believe the general balance could be better, it needs more of a sense of composition and length. The kick is a little too thin. It sounds big from the top but it's phasing out waaay too much. Needs more low, mid and high and needs to mix well with the bass.

I also like this. Good mix of sounds and some nice variation. Cool dreamy feeling. The part that comes in around 1:50 is really great

Mixing: The kick stood out for me too. When I pushed up the volume it sounded like the kick was much too high, and I think the bass (for the synth) could have more low end.

 

Love the ambient noise intro. Id like to hear some of the chatter from the intro fade in at the end of a bar here or there in the main body of the track.

1:53 sections long synth is nice. Id be tempted to add a 7th and a pair of octaves up, panned or something in the second half of the pattern. Just too really fill it out. Just what Id go for The pad and arp sit very well with each other.

Not listening on monitors now but the drums and bass sound a bit thin?
