One of the most innovative companies (iZotope) cooperates with one of the lamest (NI).
Would be surprised if something useful comes out of that cooperation.

Saw that on their instagram. Pretty much almost everyone in the comments wants them to make a DAW :dunno:

Expectations: more subscription bullshit coming up.

"Our imaginations are already running wild thinking of the ways we can make things better and easier for you with the combination of our talent and technology, and we can’t wait to see what you will create."

AKA = we will use your subscription money to buy all the luxurious shit we can imagine… :D

in the past NI was very innovative, Remember Dynamo? Was released in 2001, it was one of the first software synths and the predecessor of Reaktor. There are a number of more very good products in the past, Massive, KOntakt, Absynth and other which revolutionized digital VSTi and VSTfx world.
Sadly in the last years the last decade, they were no longer innovative, only produced expansions for Kontakt and Machine?

I think also Machine and their hardware stuff is pretty innovative.

Okay forgive them for the Massive X idea, which they completely wrecked and MX still has bugs, is not efficient coded.

A subscriber thing, could be on the way, thats why Izotope released their subscription earlier?

I hope that vision includes VST3 versions of NI plugins.
It seems NI recently was busy more with finding out how to suck more money from the industry instead of "innovations".

And iZotope acts like idiots. Cubase, Logic and S1 users were begging them to make ARA version of RX for ages, but they just don't give a f.

NI isn't bad in principle, they were once quite creative people (Reactor, Machine), but their stuff kind of stuck in the early tens and they haven't shown much innovation since then, overall their story is pretty disappointing.
In comparison, iZotope, who are constantly inventing interesting and pioneering features that have a strong added value for users in each new version (Ozone, RX, Neutron, Nectar, TBC, Master Rebalance, Assistants etc.).

Yup. That's because in order to produce normal stuff you have to pay big money to devs, while sample libs, kits and presets can be made with almost no spendings, while making an lot of money on those kits, libs and licenses.

"Oh yeah, for this song you should choose Steinway only, close mic, Ozone eq shelf boost at 5.43 kHz, 1.07 dB, Ozone Exciter tape mode for lowmids", says iZotope NI AI Advice VST 1.0 build 132b
