Someone uploads a file and then someone then has the file removed for infringement, and then more files are uploaded until the copyright holders either keeps busy not creating and becomes so overwhelmed that they hire someone to monitor uploads so they can get back to work createing. Lol! If that's not enuff they then try i lock, elicense etc. if they can afford it.

Then they say let's tie our software to the hardware so they have to buy both if they want the software. I.E. Machine and Akai Mpc Studio. Although the Crackers proved you don't need the hardware by giving us machine without the hardware teter.lol I thought Akai was safe untill they untetered the Mpc software as of version 1.5 no hardware needed. maybe they know in advance that the software was gonna get cracked. Now, Machine Studio drops the bomb on the music community and Akai lowers it's prices substantially in response, poor Akai.

Moreover, Native Instruments are pissing people off and exciting them at the same time, who's the market for the Machine studio hardware the guys who just bought into the Machine world as is the previous owners lol! I don't own the hardware but I'm now tempted to get it but, 1000 for the machine and about 750 for the expansions because the soft won't read r2r's lol!!
I only have 2grand so it's either the machine or some adam a77x's if i try to do the right thing by NI im just knowing that a 2.0 machine software is just a month or so behind next months drop.lol!!

I thought wow Abletons safe they tied live9 to Push i hadn't checked the forums for months so I upgraded legit and then i check the audioz and what do i see yep live nine, i say oh well at least i got the live packs, but no those also are here lol. im not sorry though it's worth it someone has to buy or they are out of business, besides sometimes i forget to turn off the internet and boom i don't wanna get blacklisted. lol is "Cubase seven safe"? I ask in my favorite "Marathon man Dentist" voice it you missed it google it.

Maschine Studio, is gonna put a serious dent in Akai. That thing is just marvelous to look at, real eye candy and I heard the software is a nice upgrade on performance. At a grand though I wish it was more of a split between midi controller and controller for its proprietary software in a more seemless fashion. I heard its hard to setup on 3rd party vsti's?

In my opinion, get those Adams!

I like the new Maschine controller as well, but I feel that you can pretty much develop a good workflow on just about any daw, even with third party controllers. Also, Maschine, to me, is only awesome because of its time stretch engine, other than that it's just like the rest of the DAW's out there. The reason I say go Adam's is because workflow can be achieved on almost any DAW (Which is what NI is trying to sell you on with its new controller), but unfortunately good workflow will not help your mixes get better. Which is an integral part of making your music sound good.

Just wanted to drop that in: You neither always need the newsest hardware/Software nor the hardware/Software from the market-leaders.

What I want to say: You have 2 grand, right? Why dont you look at all your options, perhabs there is other hardware you could use or an older machine you could buy second hand.

    Just saying...

Oh and BTW: Your text could use some paragraphs

Ghost and Someone are both right. I love the look but again it seems tied to the software a bit much and not sure if that's a nice workflow for me. NI seems to be twisting arms to possess this thing. The white version reminds me of Fisher-price toys in Toy-r-Us. Look in aisle 9, we got that Maschine!!! We go into toys-r-us for the kids and come out with gear for the dads? NI wouldn't have it no other way!

Thanks for the advice I really appreciate it. Yes, monitors are often after thoughts in a home studio set up because of cost to performance ratios and the're just not as sexy as other aspects of studio devices, like external harddrives speaking of which i'll have to drastically change my set up because the a77x's are not magnetically sheilded and that can spell doom for a Hardrive. :(

I'm sorry for any verbal or grammatical or format mistakes... But I don't care :)That's my new tagline thanks Someone. :bleh:

Just kidding, but seriously I wanted a Motif XF because it's vst like audio recording but the flash drive hassles, etc seems like it's way overpriced for what you get in return with all the great vst's out today it should be 2 grand completely spec out with both flash cards and the fire wire interface then i'd jump on it but it's like 3grand with every thing thats not for me and that's the 61 key ver.

Same with Nexus 2 there's no way in hell im paying over 2grand for software that can be deleted by accident or whatever for that price i will get a motif xf or kronos at least ni Komplete ultimate comes on it's own external harddrive lol! speaking of kronos for that price you should be able to open it as a vst. instead of fighting the flood they should be putting on swimming trunks. :dunno:

I must say I barely use Nexus2 since I got my EMU Proteus. I paid about 400€ for Nexus +a few extensions and 50€ for the proteus (The used price is more around 150-200€ AFAIK, but the seller seemed to need some drugs or whatever)

    Go hardware.

Buy some monitors. AND get a used MPC/Maschine. AND get an EMU rack or a Jomox/MFB thing.
It's not easy to use. It even SUCK to use! But you get the massive sound, not the sound everybody has (and you won't need to compress/saturate it). (and it's shiny and easy to resell)

(no seriously if you keep some of these gears in good shape, in 15-20 years, you can make profit, mk2, fenders, tr808, 303, ... won't work with the Maschine, I see it everywhere)

    hehe ...
I still and will always use Win XP / and AV Linux.
But my point is , its absolutely correct !! You DONT need all
the newest release's , or shiny turdz , bellz or whistles !!!

Ive 'tonz of outboard gear' , and alot of the Retail purchase's
Ive made/ (ie: UltraFunk Bundle , Magneto v1.5 & even me older Timeworks Bundle),
    Get used daily !!!

Im as happy as can be ; and using / testing , even some of these shiny new plugs, Which
    Arent any better or do anything different thru my Retail DAW's :[ Samplitude or Studio ONE ];
Any better then my older plugins can do !!

Im a happy engineer , with the money in my pocket & happy clients getting multi-tracked
    Properly and Professionally !!

That's true to an extent because Live9 effects looks anemic whithout the fancy skins but there more powerful and effective than alot of retail vst effects. lol!!

If you ask cats that did music they will always say, "we had whatever was around to make music and we did it." Now look at what's on the table now-a-days. We have more in our toolbox, with technology. Just find what you are comfortable with, and go from the workflow to get ya ideas into plan. It don't matter at the end of it, people on the dance floor don't care if it's analog or digital it just moves them. They always said keep it simple stupid. Not a diss to me or you but lets be honest alot of music thats classic was really made out of necesity and by accident. Peace.

I'd like to go back to my proteus rack i had that and the mo phat and x1 installed but it got stolen, so i got the whole proteus pak in cakewalk demension i know it's not exactly like the hardware version. But, im spoiled by the vst aspect no tracking to audio hassles.lol
I want the integra 7 but i cant justify buying it when i already have all those sounds and expansions. I once owned a xp roland with the sounds. I'd love to have a roland vsynth but now it's discontinued. all it needed was a updgrade with a sequencer and external hardrive to save all the great sounds you can create with it and it would be the bomb. too bad rolands not interested in the vsynth anymore.
like wise, with the yamaha rs7000 :(

Why does every purchase has to have a deal breaker aspect to it where you either live with it and do a workaround or just pass lol!! :dunno:

I have arturia spark and analog lab 61 a perfect example of what a 1000 dollars should at least get you in price for performace ratio and the keylab is damn sexy too, with the built in 16 pad chords progressions, which i haven't used yet. lol!!

That piece nearly got me to buy it too. The Keylab 61, I love the light blue lights on those pads but I heard its not built for pounding and hitting keys, the way you do on other boards. Tell me when you run it thru pressings and all. Then I may join you on that purchase. LOL.
