Now Studio One becomes Studio Buggy One or Studio Crash.
Presonus really needs to fix issues rather than release features which are in lower priority.

 

One big question this time is,
will it support native Apple Silicon ?!

 

Finally. Did they fix the sidechain bug is the question though, I believe they did and that's why they went to 5.2. Hopefully R2R can make that a reality when it drops.

 

if they can give stereo panning natively, that would be awesome man because the current treatment of the tracks gets me mad

 

maybe the next version... consider that most of the daws don't have native support man and if apps like photoshop aren't ready yet, imagine an app like S1

 

i have it legit and not really... maybe the cracked versions. but it needs to add some crucial features like the one i put before

 

Sometimes when I drag an audio region into another track, the whole thing crashes. Does anyone else have this problem?

I haven't personally experienced many crashes, I certainly think it works better than Live for example. Sometimes bugs can take a long time to be fixed which can be annoying. It has a lot of great features and I find it easy to use. I saw that Daniel Myer is using it and if it's good enough for him, I think the rest of us are set.

 

S1 is very stable on my win10 system, but when working on a project, at some point a missing feature comes out. For example, loaded the ToneBoosters EQ4, wanted to use the multiple sidechain feature, but on S1, effects can only have one stereo output and four inputs (standard stereo in + one stereo sidechain in), instruments cannot be used as effects, so for example, Reaktor cannot be used as an effect if it's loaded as an instrument and cannot use multiple outputs if it's loaded as an effect. Another feature I miss, is a little bit of freedom on midi events as they can only be edited visually and there is not a midi events list that would be very smart for certain operations. Also they haven't fixed the peaks creation time for compressed audio files, like mp3, so if you load several mp3 files or a big one, the peak creation process starts and the software is unusable until the operation is completed and it takes very long time compared with any other DAW.
Each time they have an update, there is so much hype. I would prefer not hype at all, put the update and list the bug fixes and added features.

 

I have no problem with S1, somes plugins make it crash, but for now I've no problems with S1 himself, in fact I use it as a midi sequencer for my hardware samplers and synths

are the plugins cracked?? because it can be a problem with the plugin, not the daw

 

Adobe has had a beta version of photoshop available for any of their customers to use since apple released the new M1s in november.

And the only daw that matters has had a native version out since apple silicon was released.
