Hi.
I had the legit version of Maschine which came with essentials etc when I bought my Komplete Audio 2, however yesterday I installed the cracked version over it as I had a load of expansions I wanted to use (downloaded from sister site).

Yesterday I bit the bullet and ordered a Maschine MK3 which will arrive Monday (brand new from Juno Records and paid just £425). Super excited.

Anyway, when the mk3 arrives, do I need to register it or will it plug in and work with the cracked software?
If it does plug in and work, will the content that comes with it work on the cracked version?
Really want to know how to get set up without messing up!

Basically... the MK3 will work with the cracked software. However, you won't be able to mix and match legit with cracked. The reason is because once you access Native Access, it will revert all the cracked versions to demo mode.

I have some questions.

According to the site I bought it from it comes with 'the full factory library (6GB) and KOMPLETE 12 SELECT, (provided as a download upon hardware registration) which contains over 25GB of instruments and effects'.

Does this mean I can't install this content as it will turn my non legit packs to demo as soon as I open Native Access to download them?

Should I register the MK3 and if I decide to go legit later will my legit content still be available?

Trying to work out if the full factory library is worth worrying about but I would like the Komplete 12 and the 25gb of downloads.

I'm not sure about the factory library/Komplete 12 select specifically. You could always install that stuff first then your non-legit packs. If it doesn't work, then get the non-legit versions of the factory library and Komplete. Your legit content will always be available. But yes... ANYTIME you open Native Access your non-legit will go to demo mode and you just need to crack again.

Option 1 - Install your legit stuff from native access first and then non-legit. If it works cool... avoid using native access again.
Option 2 - Just install all non-legit (factory library and Komplete 12 are out there) and don't worry about native access at all

Yes, as soon you initialize Native Access, which you need if you want to use any legit NI software / expansion, your cracked stuff will become dysfunctional / demo mode.

That's also true if you plan to do a Maschine software update (after some time pretty useful additional features will eventually make the update worthwhile, not to mention that there might be a v3 of Maschine software eventually).

So I may uninstall the cracked Maschine and expansions. Install legit maschine and content that comes with the MK3, then uninstall Native Access.
Then install the cracked Maschine and expansions.

Will that work?

 

That "might" work. I just know that wouldn't work with legit expansions. I have legit Soul Magic expansion and Projects/Kits won't open in cracked Maschine. However, the loops and one-shot samples do since they're just wav files. But as far as factory content and Komplete select, I'm not sure. It won't hurt to try... you won't mess anything up. If I had to guess, I think it will work since that content isn't Maschine exclusive and can be used in Komplete Kontrol software as well.

Just looked at my Maschine install.
So yesterday I had the legit version and only 2 sets of expansion kits...
Essential Selection and Expansion Selection, both legit that came with my Komplete Audio 2.

I then installed the cracked version and installed more expansions I got from the Web that are not legit.
I just checked and all kits work. See pic.
So maybe the legit content may work when the MK3 arrives.

Quick update and a bit more advice.
It's arrived and although I have no idea what I am doing with it, it looks great.

When I plugged it in it worked straight away which was cool.

It's running on cracked Maschine with a downloaded full library and a few other expansions I managed to get my hands on.

I have not opened Native Access and don't plan to but should I worry about firmware updates?

Also I want to install Komplete that came with it so do I just install a cracked version? If so, can I still get my hands on the 25gb of content that came.with it?

Can someone could help me about this,

I have maschine 2.12.1 (R883) on my computer, with lots of cracked expansion from native instrument.
Everything work fine, the things who don't work are the sections : "project", "groups" and "sounds"
When i try to load any stuff from theses sections. i have a message who say :Error Loading (name of the file)" Please activate (name of the file) via Native Access"

Instrument, effect, loops and one shot are working fine
i would like to know why it does that and how can i resolve this problem.

Maybe on Windows, on Mac Expansions are not protected so you can mix and match.

Rule of thumb with Native Instruments stuff: once you go cracked, everything has to be cracked or you will have problems.

 

Has anyone got Maschine+? As this is standalone, does this change the game with respect to cracked libraries?
