Good idea, will do that tomorrow.
Maybe we should, let's see how this list forms itself. Also, what would be the best choice, placing it in alphabetical or chronological order? Like date of birth or death.
    Agree!

Alphabetical order seems better, usually we know a name but not the date of birth/death, so it's easier to find. Not sure if it should be based on real name or alias, they both have their pro and cons. Alias first is better to find an artist as we know, but real name is also better when that artist is from a band.

Updated the list with a first version, will re-check everything when I have a bit more time. I used the real names for now but let's see what happens!

I think that using the artistic name is a better idea but since it is your thread, you run it as you please. Thanks for creating it.

I agree but the problem is a bit group members, co-producers and the fact that real and artist name are the same in several cases. Anyway, I'll create 2 versions to see what's best. I'm also thinking about adding wikipedia and discogs pages. Maybe I have some more time during the weekend! Perhaps it's possible to end up with some kind of 'ultimate in memoriam dj list' which can be published or shared.

When I was looking for Larry Levan I did not see it because my brain was not searching for Lawrence Philpot. Indeed, if a person is known by his or her artistic name, most likely the followers dont even know the real one.

I've updated the list and added 2 order options, just to be sure before removing the other one but the first one is the best?

In my opinion, first option is best. Easier to find what you are looking for. Thanks for time you are spending on this thread.:like:

Updated the list. When it comes to well known artists, I think all of them are included by now.

Oh my goodness, that is a lot of unnatural deaths causes, 23 out of 68.
That is really sad. I already had a feeling that the statistics would be so brutal. But to see it in this mass is another story. So many who could still have had a great life.
Should one really wish to become famous? Or is it better to live a happy but mediocre life being only succesfull in what we do.

Mediocre life is no guarantee of a mediocre death ...
...and a mediocre death may be worse than a spectacular one.

o.c. there is nothing like a guarantee in life.
    Says who?
I almost had a spectecular death from a spectecular motorcycle accident. If I could I would opt in for a mediocre death in sleep now. No need for more spectaculum here

Says me, and i said "MAY be".
Who are you to question my claim that it MAY be, and on what basis?

You may reconsider your death preferences after watching your parents die mediocre deaths from cancer and COPD.

Nu Foundation was a fantastic UK Hardcore Producer & DJ that passed away in 2011. Here's a favorite that he did

Cookie Monsta the Dubstep Producer & DJ that was part of Circus Records died last year
    A favorite of his:

Optiv the Drum and Bass Producer & DJ who was also part of Cause 4 Concern died last year as well.
Moongerm is definitely a certified Junglist classic
