Yes, yes and there's so much changed and added in version 11!!

 

Looking forward to it, nothing better for ideas and general production in my humble opinion but that being said I like to switch to other daws now and then for a change and to come up with new ideas, after all, they are all slightly different animals with slightly different results I find.
Some great new features for Ableton though looking forward to the release ..

I've been using a 11 beta for some time now. Ableton users are going to love 11

 

What i wish for is :
midi mapping based not only on midi channels.
I wish it would be based on midi input + midi channel.
This way i can pin-point one controller only instead of a channel.

Very happy about the Comping feature !
( only music software i've seen with this feature was a DOS Midi Sequencer ( 1987 )

 

Comping is a great feature plus some of the others on this update. Ableton is turning in to a DAW I can stick to rather than flipping to others to get a project done.

 

Effects/Instrument rack randomize is just amazing. I've been able to make some crazy sounds with just a click of a button.

 

damn it, I just reinstalled ableton live 10 yesterday, forgot about this new version LOL, guess I'll have to uninstall and get the new R2R gift when it's out if no major bugs :D

 

I like the Scale folding in the midi editor. So cool that they've seen folks manually doing that and decided to implement it. Now... all Ableton needs is pitch detection in Simpler/Sampler (like Bitwig's Sampler), a Chord Track, and ARA 2.
Gosh, it kinda sux that there's no DAW that does it all. I guess that's why I always come back to Reaper in the end.

 

I personally would like it to be easier to cut and play around with audio samples in ableton. Or maybe I just don't know how to do it in a fast way. Anyways that audio editor kinda sucks, but yeah no daw does it all in the best way, but they all offer more or less the same stuff in different shapes n forms.

 

Note for PC Users: Ableton 11 only works on windows 10 v1909 or later, anything less and the installer will give an error message.

Not sure if that will affect windows 7 users

 

Didn't someone post something about having a load of issues with some of the Softtube R2R wave on the latest Windows 10?

 

I'm pretty sure it will show up on sister site before official release lol

 

then it might just be a Windows 10 issue. I've tried to install the beta on multiple windows 10 machines and got an error message. I posted in the Ableton Beta forum about it and users said its because you have to have at least version 1909 installed.

I'm hoping a way to bypass it would be that R2R or whoever will upload the folder structure in a zip with their crack, instead of the installer.
