Hey Guys,

i ran into a slight problem: forgot my Xfer Password and can not acess my account, Xfer hasnt gotten back to me in days and unfortunately i can't reset my Password because my email adress is not longer in use.

Long Story short: Can anyone please provide the newest Installer (1.320) so i can update my old version? I have my serial number here and only need the installer.

You just joined and opened a thread here to ask for it? Why didnt you go to Xfer Records forum and open a thread there?

 

Forgetting your password and your email address being no longer in use are 2 different things. Obviously you will need access to your email address to reset the password. If you can provide Steve sufficient information like your email address and a xfer or paypal invoice of your purchase, he should help you with no problems.

How did you manage to put yourself into this situation ? seems kind of reckless if you're spending money on software.

 

If you provide evidence that you bought it and that you are who you claim you are I can't imagine that he won't help you out.

 

You're not allowed to request warez here and seeing as Serum isn't free, that's what this thread amounts to. Please read the rules.

But you have to admit, it sounds suspicious (this time at least, and probably most of the times when it comes to Serum). I have a legit one btw and as far as I can tell, there's no reason indeed why the developer won't help. So the above replies are more than reasonable.

Anyway I am interested on your thought on this:

What should people like me do ? And by "Me", I mean people who bought a secondhand legit Serum Key that was part of a bundle (in that case a bundle with Reason).
The previous owner gave me access to the Reason account where I have the legit voucher of the Serum Key. But the voucher has been redeemed.
The previous owner cannot give me access to his Xfer account (where the voucher was redeemed from) since he has other Xfer licences & banks that he bought afterwards.

I've reached out to Steve who very nicely answered me that second hand keys where not considered "OK" on his terms (which is absolutely legal in my country) hence I could not transfer the Serum Key on my account.

What do you think should be fair ?

• That I can get a legit updated install from a nice "donator". (Thanks Oly & other providers of the sister site for sometimes making the miracle happening),
• That I can go f*** off and never get an updated key.

Looking forward to read your thoughts on that.

I've been in OP's situation as well some years ago.
Changed my Mailaddress without thinking about activations I have made through it. Months later I needed to activate again but couldn't find my serial as I stored it in the now non-existent Mailbox.
Not very smart but thats how things went.

Normally the vendors reaction time may be good but in times of Corona, everything seems to slow down and sometimes it even seems as if some vendors (esp. small ones) are having a sabatical these days

This I don't see what is supicous by asking for an installer. Not for a serial plus an installer or a serial!

Therefore, one should not always smell fraud first and accuse others of it.
You wouldn't do that in real life, for example, if someone asked you to lend him the operating instructions for a lawn mower when he lost his. This does not mean he'll steal the lawn mower the next day.

i am deeply worried that people have to much time on their hands. nothing suspicious about asking for an original installer. the answer is pretty simple: it's either "no i dont have it / don't want to provide it" or "yes, let me help you out". i own a legit license + did not buy a fake license (which i guess wouldn't work with a legit installer anyway?)

anything more is unnecessary.

Let me tell you this: i have no clue what you are talking about (second hand, voucher etc).

 

Trust me you will get used to it, this is how it goes for new people. don't forget to msg @SamCH he said he will help.

 

Steve Duda is really nice guy btw, and i think he will resolve the issue if you can provide all the evidence regarding your lost password .. last time i asked th Synthogy legit installer here .. no one responded, luckily i have managed to get all the installer from a friend and some of my old dvd's, because of their weird policy if we lost the installer we need to pay from 3rd party service for the installer, so yeah .. good luck with this bro.

Is the uncracked installer freely available on the internet? No, well then he's asking for warez. For example, if it were posted publicly, SAiNT would receive a DMCA notice.

it's an "update" (free for legit users) so im not shareing full software install + serial .. so without full software and legit serial the update will never works ! so yeah it's easy peasy !
