yes and no, it depends on the size of you screen and the plugins you use, waves are now resizable but they look shitty, but it worth it for the playlist space and channel rack/mixer space you get, just be sure to get an monitor thats more than 32"

    I use an LG C9 55".

A majority of the Windows 10 apps / plugins do NOT GAF about scalability or so it seems.

Thankfully for me, Ableton Live definitely does GAF. LOL

most DAW's would take care of it. I have Cubase 10 and Ableton 10. Both take pretty good care of 4k

i have a 43 "samsung 4k tv that i could use.. but i would prefer a monitor for 3d modeling, video editing, etc.. how far are you from the tv? do you only use the TV or also a monitor?
i'm using an old notebook with intel apu, i'm starting now to buy some pieces for the new pc!

    most plugins are somewhat ok
@100% no os scaling the old arturia plugs where horrible, but after v4 they where alright
probably a good indicator, wich plugs could look really tiny, are all the ones that are not 64bit yet.

@ 125% depends on you sight 4k on 40" is manageable
@ 150% it looks like a bad 1440 monitor (if its not a native resolution)
i´ve got HRC for "hard" situations:guru:

    .ps
    i use the 40" version

its practicly 2x27" 1440p monitors side by side

I use regular QHD monitor (not pano)
Very affordable. And good for photo too (sRGB factory).
    Perfect for old plugins.

    This is this one :
    AOC Q3279VWFD8 32" 2560X1440 IPS HDMI MHL 5ms
Here is a good test :
    https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/aoc-q3279vwfd8/

To me, going 4K is for MORE than 32inch to SEE the difference.
And it will cost a fortune, especially an IPS/sRGB 100% one for photo/video.

On my QHD 32, it is impossible to see pixels until i'm glued to it.

My advice : forget about a 4K monitor OR buy a second screen for plugins only.
A cheap good FullHD second monitor can be bought for 50 bucks second hand.

Witch is peanut compared to a 4K IPS sRGB 32+

And FORGET those crappy "gaming" monitors TN.
    They totally s*ck at photo/video.

Hey there, meanwhile i use my LG 4K TV 50 inch as main screen for arrangement & more. Under it a second screen for the browser and all the small, not scalable plugins. On the right side a monitor exclusively for the mixer. The second and third screen are 5+ years old. Its crazy or genius, sometimes I have to rescale something and the setup isn't "optimized" but I love it that way.
    Greetings

My main monitor is my LG C9 55" UHD/HDR TV and I have a secondary 27" UHD/HDR Computer Monitor on a gas-arm with auto-pivot to use in close-up landscape or portrait mode. It's mainly for digital image editing however also used for some audio and video editing when the situation calls for it.

Many professionals use 30" or more, 2560x1600 monitors. Plenty of room yet plugins are not too small.
