Started maybe a week or two ago. Not all seem malicious but some do (like the attached pic that I had to delete Firefox on my tablet to get rid of). Is anyone else seeing more of this recently?

 

Use a popup blocker.

 

Make sure you are logged in.

 

I do but recently they’re getting around it. Wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing the same.

 

I get such popups on Edge very often, although my adguard is on, I don't know how to get rid of it

 

Good point, I hadn’t yet logged in when I got the pop-up . Even so, malicious ads on the site will make me think twice about using it.

edit: I’m getting the pop up even when I click on the login button.

Are you noticing it just recently or is this ongoing?

 

I recommend "uBlock Origin". It exists as an extension for most popular browsers and it works perfectly in my case. I don't see any popups or anything.

I would use the website without an adblocker to support the website but unfortunately, without it, the website is literally unusable.

 

Use uBlock origin.

 

Weird popups also here also since this, I think. I was about to say 2 or 3 days before reading your message.

 

If you are using Edge then I would recommend AdBlock — best ad blocker (By BetaFish) from the Microsoft store, I use it myself and have no problems.

The malicious one was just today and I noticed a similar linked address yesterday but it was blocked. Before that I was just getting more pop-ups but most didn’t get through and the couple that did seemed just like the typical gambling ad etc. so I’d guess it’s the new advertiser.

 

I do use ublock origin on my laptop and it’s been warning me about pop-ups lately with a couple getting through. Unfortunately on iOS devices that’s not an option. Safari does pretty well but I was on Firefox at the time of the included pic.

I didn’t know that ublock origin blocked access even if a page manages to open, that’s great to hear and makes me love it even more.

 

Firefox with ublock origin here. Started about a week ago. Now I get popups that show the sister-site logo in a new tab. (As if I right clicked -> show graphic)

 

I've noticed it too. Pretty shady stuff.

 

Im using firefox on my device never seen an ad the browser support addons install some blockers, filters enable tracking block in the settings privacy

 

I'm using that but I still get a weird pop up, then a sister site refreshes as a link of the logo image file opens up. No ad or anything just strange behavior all of the sudden.
