got this in my email newsletter...
do you guys think this is a response to the R2R NFOs?
to me it REALLY feels like it in how they worded the title lol

(FYI im a legit user and went to check for updates... and they literally didnt update anything since the crackd versions! its all still v2.5.9, i guess its just a late newsletter for these updates from last month! hilariously lame)

Yeah I got it too. Went to check if there was anything new, nope just 2.5.9/2.5.10. Seems R2R rustled their jimmies.

Markus Krause (Tone2) also remove most of synths protection (and improve performance and security with this step) after R2R cracks. Legit users should say thanks to R2R

yea i had high hopes lol maybe they stripped some of the protection away or something, but was disappointed to see all the releases were still from last month.... and they still dont scale their plugins on windows for 4k monitors... kinda makes me annoyed as a paying customer lmao

This really is good news for legit users, just a shame it takes a team to get it to happen!

They havent done anything, its just a vapid empty press release.

Softube's marketing has gone down the shitter since HENRIK VOGEL left:

And this limp wrist-ed asshole DANIEL DELVIKEN turned it into a fake glossy american (minus the freedom) wet dream:

Look at the two men, imagine the difference in leadership!!

THIS is why you receive such weak bullshit marketing in you email inbox buddy.

And then, Daniel gets a nice fat xmas bonus! mmm, fair is fair in this beautiful world!

That email is regarding the December 2020 update.. the 2.5.9 which all has been K'ed recently, even the 2.5.10 of some.

Weird and silly, took them a month to notify their customer haha

With every Waves' release they say the same thing.

I made tests between v7, v8, and last v9 32bit. Guess which ones load fastest and tax CPU the least? v7. Well, to say 100% truth they are pretty close, but v9 consumes both more memory and CPU, and loads slower than previous versions. Unfortunately first x64 Waves came with v9. They were quite late to the x64 "game" if you remember.

Next I'm going to compare v9, v11, and v12 x64 Waves loading times. v10 was just a rushed release anyway and it didn't work properly, so I'm going to skip that one. I'm quite sure v9 plugins will turn out the most efficient ones. It's just how the software game works, and the game is rigged. Seeing simple Phasers weighting 60MB and shit like that...[Native Instruments effects compiled with Reaktor engine]

As Al Jourgensen would say pretty loudly: THIEVES! LIERS! THIEVES! LIERS!

It's improved but nothing beat removing the stupid tedious ilok check.

Looks like Schaack Audio Technology also removed VMProtect protection from their AnalogQ after R2R notes from 13 jan. Only 2 days, lol.

    Notes:
AnalogQ is protected by VMProetct. When you load the plugin, AnalogQ
overwrites the NtProtectVirtualMemory function in NTDLL.dll, and swap to the
custom code to disable memory patch attack using VirtualAlloc(Ex). It will
crash when other plugin does same thing after loading AnalogQ. Another
    selfish protection.

Those strong protection is not made for plugin system. Never try to hook the
    system API from plugin. Never.

Don't reverse cause and effect here! Cracker crews are the cause for the existence of drastic measures of copy write protection in the first place. You make it sound as if they are the ones bringing the solutions. They may point out issues that help to resolve issues with the copy protection as a nice free-of-charge side effect for devs, but without the fear of having your product cracked within minutes, devs wouldn't have to resort to such drastic measures like that in the first place.
